Winner Selection and Contest Play
This is a contest of skill. To win the $1 Million top prize, a contestant must correctly choose all nine winners of the Breeders' Cup Stakes races held Saturday, October 25 and wager at least $100 on TwinSpires.com on either Friday, October 24 or Saturday, October 25. Additionally, if more than one contestant meets the above criteria, the winners will share equally in the prize. For purposes of this contest, the official winners of the nine Breeders' Cup stakes races shall be considered the official winner of each race on race-day Saturday, October 25. Disqualifications that occur after the races are made official for pari-mutuel purposes will not affect the outcome of this contest. In the unlikely event that a horse is declared a non-starter for pari-mutuel purposes by the California Stewards, but crosses the finish line first in its race, the entrant will be treated as a scratch for purposes of contest play. In the event of a dead heat between two or more horses for first place in any of the 9 races, both horses will be considered a winning contest entry.
In the event of a scratched horse, you will be given the post time favorite as determined by the Official Equibase Chart.
If you select an also eligible in one of the races and your horse is not able to draw into the race, you will be given the post time favorite.
In the event that three of the nine contest races have seven or fewer starters, the $1,000,000 prize is cancelled and contestants will only be playing for the secondary prize of 1,000,000 Twin Spires Club points.
Winner will be determined on or about one week following the conclusion of the running of the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, Saturday October 25.
