What happens if more than one person correctly selects all nine winners on Saturday, October 25th?

If more than one person correctly selects all nine winners Saturday, October 25th, the total number of winners will split the $1,000,000 prize equally.

How will the winnings be distributed?

The $1,000,000 prize is an annuity which will be paid in forty in equal installments. Like winning the Lottery, there will be a cash option available to the winner(s). The amount of the cash option depends on current market rates for forty year annuities.

What happens if no one selects all nine winners Saturday, October 25th, 2008?

In the event no eligible contestant correctly selects all nine winners of the Breeders’ Cup Stakes races on Saturday, October 25th there will still be a secondary prize pool of 1,000,000 Twin Spires Club points. The contestant/contestants who correctly select the most number of correct winners amongst the nine races will be considered second prize winners. If there is a tie for the secondary prize, then the Twin Spires Club points will be divided equally amongst the winners.

1.	An eligible contestant is any TwinSpires.com account holder that places at least $100 in wagers on TwinSpires.com either Friday October 24th or Saturday, October 25th.

If an eligible contestant correctly selects all nine winners of the Breeders’ Cup Stakes races on Saturday, October 25th they will win or share a $1,000,000 prize. If there is more than one eligible contestant who correctly selects all nine winners, the prize money will be distributed equally amongst the winners. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner(s).

The $1,000,000 prize will be payable in 40 equal annual installments of $25,000 each or the player will have a cash option. The current cash option payout for a 40-year annuity on a $1,000,000 prize is based on current market rates. Market rates do fluctuate so the amount of the cash option could increase or decrease slightly. Multiple winners will also impact the amount of the annual installments or cash option. The winning contestant will be provided with the current cash value after the contest is completed and the winning entry is validated.
