Contest Play - Satellites and Final
The three Satellite contests - on Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and 2 - feature a low $25 buy-in with one of every eight entries advancing to Saturday's Final on December 3. You can purchase up to three entries for each Satellite contest. If you fail to advance, you can buy into Saturday's Final for $200. A maximum of 2 entries are allowed in Saturday's Final.

Prizes
The top two finishers in Saturday's Final will earn a coveted berth into the DRF/NTRA $2 Million National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas. The NHC prize package includes a 3-night hotel stay at Treasure Island - the host casino - and $500 in cash/travel credits.

Players who finish third through fifth will earn free entry to the Horse Player World Series, which includes a 4-night stay at The Orleans and a $500 cash/travel
credit.

Contest Races
The Satellites will consist of 8 races each. The Final will consist of 10 races on the Claiming Crown program at Fair Grounds on December 3rd. The contest races are announced two nights prior to each contest date, and the selection process will open up no later than 7:10 p.m. Eastern Time the day prior. As always customized Brisnet.com handicapping products will be created and posted online to help players attack the contest races.

How does the contest work?

To play, simply purchase a contest entry ticket for the contest days you wish to participate in. The entry fee is only $25.00 per ticket (a maximum of 3 tickets are allowed per person) for the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday satellite events. The top 5 finishers from the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday contests are guaranteed to earn a free entry into Saturday's Online Handicapping Series contest, but based on participation, we will no doubt award many more entries than the top 5. After the first 40 entries are purchased, we will award 1 additional entry to the Saturday Final for every 8 additional entries sold at the $25 buy-in price.

The $25 Satellites send an unlimited number of players into Saturday's $200 contest each week. The formula is based on 1 free entry per 8 buy-ins for the weekday Satellites.

There is no cap on the number of total entries in our tournaments.

For Saturday's Final contest the entry fee is $200.00. This event will award 2 seats to the NHC and at least3 seats to the Horse Player World Series.

Official contest schedule is as follows:

$200 Final - Saturday, December 3

The winner and runner up in the $200 Final will receive an entry into the 2012 National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas with an expected purse of $2 million. This prize package includes a 3-night hotel stay at the host property. The third through fifth place finishers will receive entry to the 2012 Horse Player World Series. This prize package includes a 4-night stay at the host property.

SELECTION PROCESS

Once you've purchased your entry ticket(s), and the morning line odds/program numbers come in all tracks involved, you may then submit or modify your selectionshttps://www.twinspires.com/secure-bin/contest_select.cgi?affid=2800online during the contest. For each contest, players submit selections for each of the mandatory contest races. Although this is a real-time contest, whereby you can view the odds before making a choice, we highly recommend that you place all your selections early. Then, you can go back and modify, if necessary, before each post time.

The online contest standings are regularly updated throughout the duration of the contest. Contest standings are based on mythical $2 Win and $2 Place payouts on each contest selection. See the tournament rules for complete details.

Congratulations to James N. of Wheeling, IL who took home $100,000 and earned a chance to compete for a $1-million top prize at the NHC in Las Vegas by winning the first ever TwinSpires Online Handicapping Championship. His top score of $131.70 was just enough to edge a very game Lori H. of Campbell, CA with $123.40.

OFFICIAL RULES FOR THE TWINSPIRES ONLINE HANDICAPPING CHAMPIONSHIP

Saturday's Championship Entry Fee is $1,000.
A maximum of two (2) entries are allowed per player.
The Championship Tournament will be contested over 15 mandatory races on Saturday, Nov. 19
If a tournament race is cancelled or declared no contest, it will not be replaced in the tournament. TwinSpires.com reserves the right to change the date of the Championship in the event of race cancellations at multiple tracks.
All tournament bets are mythical $2 Win and Place (combination) wagers.
Tournament bets may only be placed on one (1) horse or entry per race.
Scoring is based on actual results and payoffs at the host track.
Payoffs are capped at 25-1 to Win and 12-1 to Place.
After all 15 tournament races are declared official, the player with the highest winnings will be declared the winner.
The top 20 finishers will be awarded a National Handicapping Championship Prize Package, which includes entry to the NHC and hotel accommodations for three (3) nights at Treasure Island Las Vegas. Important notice: all players who finish in the Top 20 MUST have purchased a NTRA Tour Membership prior to Saturday, Nov. 19 in order to be awarded a NHC Prize Package.
In the event a player who has already won a NHC entry finishes in the top 20, s/he will receive a Horse Player World Series Prize Package and his or her NHC Prize Package will be awarded to the next highest eligible player.
Players who finish 21st - 50th will receive a Horse Player World Series Prize Package, which includes both entry to the HPWS and hotel accommodations for four (4) nights at The Orleans.
Tiebreakers: In the event there is a tie between two or more players for any cash prize, the sum of the cash prizes earned among all tied players will be divided equally between the tied players. If there is a tie between two or more players for the final NHC Prize Package or Horse Player World Series Package to be awarded, the following tie breakers will be used, in order, to break the tie: most winners, most top 2 finishers, highest win payoff, 2nd-highest win payoff, 3rd-highest win payoff, most top 3 finishers. If a tie still remains, contestants will, at TwinSpires' discretion, either receive the prize, share the prize equally, or will be invited to participate in a "playoff". TwinSpires will make the final decision on any disputes or unforeseen circumstances involving ties.

At the conclusion of the Leaderboard contest, the top three finishers from each Annual Leaderboard will earn entry to the Nov. 12 Leaderboard Shootout Finals. Up to 2 entries maximum may be earned by any one player. The TwinSpires Online Handicapping Championship Satellite on Nov. 12 will also serve as the Leaderboard Shootout Finals contest. All players earning entry to the Leaderboard Shootout Finals will automatically receive FREE entry to the Nov. 12 Championship Satellite contest - a $100 value. The top three finishers among the 18 Leaderboard Shootout Finalists ONLY in the Nov. 12 Championship Satellite will be awarded the three NHC Prize Packages. Leaderboard Shootout Finalists are also eligible to earn an additional entry to the TwinSpires Online Handicapping Championship by participating in the Nov. 12 Championship Satellite contest if they finish in a position high enough to earn a TSOHC entry per the rules of the Satellite contest. In the event a Leaderboard Shootout Finalist has already won entry to the NHC and finishes in one of the top three positions among the 18 Leaderboard Finalists, the NHC entry will be awarded to the next highest Leaderboard Shootout Finalist who has not won entry to the NHC. Official Rules:

To qualify to win a share, the player must place an actual winning Pick 4 (Races 8-11) wager through their TwinSpires wagering account on Delta Downs on Saturday, February 4th.
Only the Pick 4 (Races 8-11) at Delta Downs on Saturday, February 4th is eligible for contest play.
Each TwinSpires Player may only win one (1) share of the prize, regardless of the amount of winning tickets s/he records in the All Stakes Pick 4.

At the end of the day, all Players who have placed a winning wager on the Pick 4 (Races 8-11) on Delta Downs on Saturday, February 4th will win a prize equal to 1,000,000 TSC Elite Points divided by the total number of winning players. If there is one winner, s/he will receive the entire 1,000,000 points prize. If there are 10 winners, each will receive 100,000 points and so forth.

How to Play - IMPORTANT CONTEST INFORMATION
