TwinSpires.com offers upgraded service. For Live Video, Windows XP users should have Windows Media Player 10 or 11, the latest video streaming technology from Microsoft, TwinSpires.com has put together a top technology team to deliver these services.

The Race Replay Library uses REAL PLAYER 10.5 for replays prior to June, 2007 and Windows Media Player for more recent replays and displays a new interface with more options. In addition to selecting races by track and date, there are now options for selecting by a horse's name (of a horse entered today). You will see a display of all the races for that horse that are in our replay library. The Replay Library may not be available using Firefox or Mozilla browsers; or some Mac computers. Macs using Safari should be able to get replays. You will need to have REAL PLAYER video software on your computer in order to view any archived race video replay. If you do not have a current version of this software already installed, click Real Player, then click on "Free Real Player" to download the software needed. Do NOT check the box to make Real Player your default player. If you already have Real Player, it should open automatically when you use the Video Library. Older versions of Real Player may need to be updated. Windows users should use Internet Explorer 6 or 7 for video. Mac users should use Safari for this application.

In order to view Race Replays, Players can use the following video players:

Windows Media player on Windows OS
Real Player Media player on Windows OS
Flip4mac Media Player on Mac OS

Some players may experience difficulites with Real Player on a Windows OS due to Windows Media Player typically being defaulted as the player for these file types. If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to call Player Services at 1-877-SPIRES-1 (774-7371) .

For best results, make sure any pop-up box blocking software allows pop-ups from TwinSpires.com; or has been disabled. Make sure any routers have all ports open and firewalls are disabled. This includes any Internet Security software you may have on your computer. Some routers and internet security will let you allow certain websites so you must choose to allow TwinSpires.com. Windows XP users with Service Pack 2 should add TwinSpires.com to "pop ups allowed." Open Media Player, go to Tools, then to Options. Make sure Connect to the Internet is checked. Go to File Types, select All, click on Apply. Click on Network, uncheck UDP. On that same page, click on Configure and change to Autodetect Browser. Click on Performance, make sure your settings are on Detect Connection Speed, and Use Default Buffering. Note these settings may go back to default settings when downloading any update from Microsoft. If you have problems with the video, check these settings.

Windows XP users should note there is a pop-up blocker in Service Pack 2. Make sure this is set to allow pop-ups from TwinSpires.com. Other security softwares may have a hidden pop-up blocker. If you experience problems, hold the CTRL (control) key on your keyboard while selecting a track for video and continue holding the CTRL key until you see the video is Buffering or until the video appears on screen.
