VISA Credit Card Deposits Impacted - Other Deposit Options Recommended
We are temporarily experiencing unusually high decline rates in deposits via VISA debit and credit cards. TwinSpires.com has been approved under VISA's new MVV code and should not have been impacted. The increase in decline rates is due to VISA's requirement that card issuing banks Opt In to acceptance of the new MVV code in order to comply with the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act. We are currently working with VISA and their issuing banks to rectify the situation. We highly recommend you use an alternative method of deposit until this temporary issue is resolved.
Other recommended deposit options include:
- EZMoney - Free method of depositing which transfers funds electronically between your bank account and your wagering account. We have increased our initial deposit limit to $500 while we work on this issue with VISA.
- Green Dot Money Pak - You can add money to your account using cash with a Green Dot MoneyPak which can be purchased at several major retailers throughout the country including Wal-Mart, CVS and Rite Aid.
(Green Dot has recently implemented new velocity limits for deposits.- A maximum of FOUR deposits and/or $1,500 within a 24 hr. period. A maximum of SEVEN deposits and/or $3,500 within a SEVEN day period. A maximum of TWENTY deposits and/or $5,000 within a THIRTY day period) - Master Card - Master Card credit card and debit card transactions are not experiencing unusually high decline rates.
