SUMMARYTwinSpires.com players will be able to earn shares in a $25,000 prize pool in the 2010 "Streak to the Derby" contest. The contest begins February 20th and runs through the 136th Kentucky Derby, Saturday May 1st. PRIZESThere is a $25,000 total prize pool. Each "Streak" will earn one share in that prize pool. At the completion of the contest, the prize pool ($25,000) will be divided by how many total shares were earned over the course of the contest period. This will establish the share value. Each player who has earned a share or multiple shares will have their share winnings automatically deposited into their TwinSpires wagering account. All players are subject to applicable taxes. Every time a player wins three consecutive races on their way to a "Streak" they will earn an entry into a drawing for two tickets to the 2011 Kentucky Derby. HOW TO PLAYThe contest is made up of 18 consecutive Kentucky Derby prep races beginning, Feb 20th, 2010 and concludes with the Kentucky Derby Saturday, May 1st. Players earn one share in the $25,000 prize pool every time they complete a "Streak". To earn a "Streak" players are required to place four consecutive winning $10 (at least) wagers on the races in our "Streak Schedule" using their TwinSpires wagering account. Players may begin a new "Streak" at any time. The most "Streaks" one player can earn throughout the course of the contest is 16. Players will earn a bonus share for completing the "Streak" that ends in the Kentucky Derby a total of two for that "Streak". The most shares that one player can earn is 17. Each time a player hits a three races in a row on the way to their "Streak" they will be entered to win two tickets to next year’s Kentucky Derby. TwinSpires will list the number of shares earned and current share value after each prep weekend. TOP THE STREAKERBOARDTwinSpires will maintain a "Streak Scoreboard" called the "Streakerboard" to keep track of the total number of "Streaks" per player and award the players who accumulate the most "Streaks". STREAKERBOARD PRIZESThe Player with the most "Streaks" at the completion of the contest will win two tickets to the 2011 Kentucky Derby. 2nd – 10th Places on the "Streakerboard" will receive an Official Kentucky Derby Polo Shirt 11th – 25th Places on the "Streakerboard" will received an Official Kentucky Derby Hat If there is a tie in any position on the "Streakerboard", the order of finish will be determined by the Player who has had "the most recent completed Streak". For example: If there is a tie for first on the "Streakerboard" with 10 streaks, the player who was able to complete the most recent "Streak" - beginning with the "Streak" ending with Kenctucky Derby 136 will win. The tiebreaker will continue moving backwards from Kentucky Derby 136 to determine the tiebreak winner based on "the most recent Streak completion". In the event there are multiple 17 Streak winners, the following tie breaker will be used to award the pair of Kentucky Derby tickets: ELIGIBILITY The TwinSpires Streak to the Derby (the "Contest") is open to TwinSpires.com registered players only; legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years or older.
