Do TwinSpires account holders have credit card deposit limits?
Yes. There is a maximum limit of $400 on your initial credit card deposit. A completed Draft Authorization Form with that credit/debit card number must be submitted to TwinSpires.com before a second deposit or any withdrawal can be honored. Please note these limits do not apply to deposits by debit card, Bank Wire Transfer, money order, cashier's check or personal check.
I know my card and credit limit are good, why am I being declined?
If you are declined for any reason, a message will appear on the screen with the reason for the decline. One common reason for a credit card decline by the credit card issuing bank (other than over credit limit) is address verification. On the "Add More Funds Electronically" page, the fields will automatically be filled in with the account information including address. If the address on your credit card billing is different, you will need to change the information in the address fields to match your credit card billing address.
I am receiving a "Transaction Result #12 Declined" message and I know my card is good. What is causing this decline message?
Our credit card processing system has been returning declined transactions at a higher rate than normal with this message. Many credit card issuing banks have decided to ban online credit card transactions for internet gambling, and although primarily designed to impact internet casinos, it is hitting us too.
The main banks we are experiencing difficulties with at this time are Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, Citibank, MBNA, Providian and Star Bank. If you have a card from one of these banks, you may not be able to make deposits through our online deposit option.
We highly recommend the use of EZmoney for deposits as there are no fees for this service. You may also call Player Services toll-free at 1-(877)-SPIRES-1 (774-7371) 9:00am to 12:00am Eastern (effective 1/13/08) to make a deposit over the telephone (which uses a different card processor).
Deposits over the telephone are processed by Global Cash, and may be charged as a cash advance to your credit card. The service fee is 4.5%, but you may be charged an additional cash advance fee by your bank.
I would prefer to mail a money order or personal check. Where do I send it?
Money orders and cashier's checks are deposited in your wagering account the same day as received. Personal checks are held five days to clear. Please DO NOT send cash. A money order, cashier's check, or personal check deposit should be made payable to TwinSpires.com and mailed to:
TwinSpires.com
P.O. Box 8510
Lexington, KY 40533-8510
If you want to send a deposit via overnight delivery, we recommend using UPS, Emery, FedEx, Airborne Express, and DHL over using the U.S. Postal Express Mail Service since their service has not been timely. If you wish to send your deposits by overnight delivery, please send it to:

You can access various probable payouts based on the track and the race.

Conditional Wagering more topics
What is a "conditional wager"?
Aconditional wager allows a player to set minimum odds thresholds thatmust be satisfied (at a scheduled minutes-to-post timeframe) before thewager is sent to tote for processing. If the minimum odds thresholdsare satisfied at the selected timeframe (relative to minutes-to-post),the bet is sent to tote for processing. Otherwise, if the minimum oddsthresholds are NOT satisfied, the conditional wager ‘fails' and no betis sent to tote. Conditional wagering enhances the bettor's ability toeasily place wagers that he/she feels represent good value.
Which bet types support conditional wagering?
Conditionalwagers are currently available for Win, Daily Double, Exacta, andQuinella wagers. Conditional ‘WIN' wagers are restricted to only thosebets involving a single betting interest. Conditional ‘DAILY DOUBLE',‘EXACTA', or ‘QUINELLA' wagers are restricted to a single (‘straight')combination consisting of exactly two betting interests.
How do I place a conditional wager?
ConditionalWagers can only be placed online at TwinSpires.com. Conditional wagerscan NOT be placed when using live phone operators to place your wager. When constructing a bet online at TwinSpires.com, a "Make this aconditional wager" checkbox will appear for any wager which is eligiblefor conditional wagering. After marking the checkbox, you will be ableto: (1) Define your minimum odds threshold by entering the minimum winodds (for WIN wagers) or entering the minimum Probable Payoff (forExacta, Daily Double, or Quinella wagers); and (2) Set the scheduledtimeframe (relative to minutes-to-post) for the conditional wager to beevaluated. Then, after setting your conditional wager criteria, continue the construction of your wager as normal.
How does conditional wagering help the bettor?
Conditional wagering helps the player:
• Make value oriented bets without having to constantly monitor the tote
• Ensure fair odds when placing bets - especially when placing bets in advance
• Avoid wagers on overbet ("underlay") horses
Are conditional wagers "fixed odds" bets? Are the minimum payoffs guaranteed?
No.The payoffs for conditional and non-conditional bets remain identical.Conditional wagers merely allow the player to define if/when a betshould be sent tote. Conditional wagers accepted by tote may ultimatelypay less than the minimum odds/minimum probable payoff since final oddsand payoff information cannot be determined until all wagers have beenplaced into the pari-mutuel pool. Conditional wagers do NOT guarantee aminimum odds/probable payoff on your wager.
Will my bet be cancelled if the odds drop after the bet is sent to tote?
No.After the bet has satisfied the minimum odds/probable payoff criteria(at the scheduled timeframe) and the bet has been accepted by tote, thebet will remain in the pari-mutuel pool - regardless of later oddschanges.
How do I know if my conditional wager was sent to tote?
Asalways, today's betting activity for your wagering account can bereviewed through "Recall Today's Bets" (available in the drop downunder "More Options" on the wager frame). In addition, betting andtransaction activity which occurred before today can be reviewed under"Detailed Account History" (available through "Manage My Account").
The status ("Open", "Accepted", "Completed", "Cancelled", or "Failed") of any wager can be reviewed from these screens.
What is an "Open", "Accepted", "Completed", "Cancelled", or "Failed" conditional wager?
The "status" of a conditional wager falls into one of the following states:
"OPEN" wagers have been submitted by the bettor but have NOT yet been sent to tote.
"ACCEPTED" wagers have already been sent to and accepted by tote.
"CANCELLED" wagers have been cancelled by the bettor before being sent to tote.
"COMPLETED" wagers have been accepted by tote and the results of the bet have also been settled by tote.
"FAILED"wagers have failed to satisfy their minimum odds/probable payoffcriteria and were NOT sent to tote -or- the bets were rejected by totefor some reason.
Can I cancel a conditional wager?
"Open"conditional wagers which have not yet been sent to tote can becancelled via Recall Today's Bets (available in the drop down under"More Options" on the wager frame).
Why isn't my account balance debited immediately after placing a conditional wager?
Accountbalances are not debited until the conditional wager has beensuccessfully accepted by tote. In the event your account balance doesnot have the funds needed when being processed by tote, the wager will'fail'. Be sure to maintain a sufficient account balance to fulfill allof your "open" conditional wagers. Otherwise, your conditional wager(s)may be rejected by tote for insufficient funds.
If your accountbalance does not have sufficient funds to satisfy multiple conditionalwagers made on the same race with the same scheduled timeframe(relative to minutes-to-post), the wagers will be processed in theorder that (i) the condition is satisfied and (ii) the wagers werecreated.
Why are some Minimum Probable Payoffs based on a $1 base wager amount and others based on a $2 base wager amount?
Unfortunately, base wager amounts vary from track to track for the reported ProbablePayoffs of Exacta, Daily Double, and Quinella wagers. Some tracks use a$1 base wager amount when reporting their Probable Payoffs and othertracks use a $2 base wager amount. For this reason, it is important topay attention to the displayed base wager amount when defining yourminimum Probable Payoff.
Why don't you offer conditional wagering for Place & Show wagers?
Thetote only provides current odds and probable payoffs for Win, Exacta,Daily Double, and Quinella wagers. For this reason, conditional wagersare restricted to only those bet types.
Why don't you offer conditional wagering for ‘Box' and ‘Wheel' wagers?
Unlike‘straight' wagers involving a single probable payoff, there aremultiple probable payoffs for box and wheel wagers (one for eachpossible combination). What if only five of the six combinations in a3-horse box meet your minimum probable payoff criteria? Should theconditional 3-horse box wager "fail" and no bet be sent to tote? Or,should five individual straight exactas be automatically placed(instead of the 3-horse box)? How should the late scratch of a runnerbe handled? As you can see, the complexity is raised considerably forbox and wheel wagers. Therefore, conditional WIN wagers are currentlyrestricted to only those bets involving a single betting interest. And,conditional EXACTA, DAILY DOUBLE, or QUINELLA wagers are restricted toa single (‘straight') combination consisting of exactly two bettinginterests.

I received an error "Video Access Restricted."
It has been our policy to offer live video for free and that will continue. We take great pride in delivering these services at no charge to you. In peak viewing times, you may have noticed video disruptions. This is due to the large number of viewers at one time on the system.
Beginning January 1, 2008, in order to protect our regular customers who use the system to wager and view the races, we will be implementing the following policy:
Video streaming will be available for those account holders who have wagered:
1) A minimum of $50 in the last 5 days you have accessed the video system or,
2) A minimum of $50 during the last 5 calendar days or,
3) A minimum of $100 wagered during the previous 30 calendar days or,

What might cause "choppy" video or sound?
The video and sound quality you experience with TwinSpiresTV depends mostly on your internet connection speed and your computer's ability to render high quality graphics. Your internet connection speed can vary considerably depending on a number of factors: the time of day, your internet service provider, the activity of others on your home or office network, etc.
When TwinSpiresTV first launches, it measures the speed of the internet connection from your computer to the video server. It then selects the optimum video resolution based on the results of this speed test. Sometimes, however, the selected video resolution may require a faster connection than what can be sustained over time by your computer and internet connection. In such instances, "choppy" video or sound may be experienced. To minimize such occurrences, TwinSpiresTV has recently added the capability for users to modify the video speed. Three (3) video speed settings are now available: "Low", "Medium", or "High". If you are experiencing "choppy" video or sound, it is recommended that you use a lower video speed setting. However, a faster internet connection is still recommended for the best experience with TwinSpiresTV. To increase your connection speed, please contact your internet service provider.
I'm experiencing "choppy" video or sound...How do I adjust the video speed?
To adjust the video speed, simply hover your mouse over the bottom of the main video panel. Then, select the desired video speed ("Low", "Medium", or "High"). It is recommended that you switch to a lower video speed setting if you're experiencing "choppy" video or sound. This should result in a smoother audio and video experience (although at a lower video resolution).
How can I "hide" the thumbnail videos or switch to full screen video?
TwinSpiresTV offers three (3) different video display modes. By default, TwinSpiresTV displays a combination of the main video, and up to four (4) "thumbnail" videos, and the program/information panel. You may alternatively select to view the main video in "Full Screen" mode ("thumbnail" video and program/information panels are not displayed) or in a "No Thumbnail Videos" mode. To switch the video mode, simply hover your mouse over the bottom right of the main video panel. Then, click one of the three video modes shown.
Are full results charts available through TwinSpiresTV?
Yes. A link to the full result chart (PDF) for a race can be found at the bottom of the Results information displayed for any specific race. Please note, however, that charts are generally not available until about thirty minutes after the race is declared official.
Why can't I rewind the video?
The current version of TwinSpiresTV supports live video streaming only. Therefore, only "play" and "stop" controls are available.

Profit Line odds are provided for all North American thoroughbred races (not available for harness and foreign races). There are countless ways to use Profit Line to help you make winning bets. The horse with the lowest Profit Line odds is deemed to be the most likely winner according to Profit Line. Another approach is to look for Profit Line "overlays" (noted in RED). Profit Line deems these "overlays" because the current odds are greater than (or equal to) to the horse's estimated fair chances of winning.
