How are you planning to win big during the 2017 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge?
Registration and participation from home in the 2017 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC), a “real money” handicapping tournament held the weekend of the World Championships at Del Mar on November 3-4, is again available to TwinSpires.com customers.
Existing and new TwinSpires.com customers may now register for the tournament online. Players can play up to two entries and will be required to deposit $10,000 per entry, of which $7,500 will be the players’ bankroll for wagering during the tournament. The other $2,500 will be placed in a prize pool and, based on 400 entries, will award cash prizes of $1 million, including a $300,000 first prize.
Tournament races will include all live races at Del Mar on Friday, November 3, and all live Del Mar races through the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday, November 4. A minimum of $600 must be bet per race on a minimum of five races on November 3, while there is a $900 minimum bet per race on a minimum of five races on November 4. Win, Place, Show, Exacta, Trifecta, and Daily Double wagering only is permitted. Penalties will be assessed for missed races.
The player with the highest score minus any penalties after the Breeders’ Cup Classic is the Grand Prize winner. Any dollar amount remaining in a player’s bankroll at the conclusion of the tournament remains the property of the player.
In addition to cash prizes, 15 berths to the National Handicapping Championship (NHC) will also be awarded.
Players that choose to participate in the BCBC through TwinSpires will do so through a separate TwinSpires tournament site rather than the main TwinSpires.com and TwinSpires Mobile sites. A VIP Services representative will provide you with the tournament website URL when it is ready to begin accepting log-ins.
Players can access a live Leaderboard from the Breeders’ Cup site during the BCBC tournament. The Leaderboard will include all players participating from Del Mar, any live satellite facility or online with TwinSpires.
