The pace of the Purple Martin will be swift. Impressive debut winner #4 Edgeway might be the speed of the speed, but she will have company from #5 Bootytama and #8 Frank’s Rockette in the early stages.

#1 KIMARI — Multiple stakes heroine makes her 3-year-old bow from the rail for Ward. Ultra-talented filly was a 14-length debut winner in her lone run on the dirt to date, and she is training swiftly in advance of her return. Mike Smith will be in the silks.
#2 RING LEADER — Dixie Belle S. queen failed in a route experiment most recently and gets back to sprinting, where she dons a 3-for-3 career mark. Paynter filly is versatile and zipped a bullet half-mile in preparation of this affair. Joe Talamo will be in the stirrups.
#3 FLAT OUT SPEED — Prairie Meadows import is unblemished from a trio of lifetime showings for Chleborad. Iowa-bred gets a class test while making her debut with open company. Daughter of Flat Out will be forwardly placed from the start.
#4 EDGEWAY — Sadler pupil was a superb debut vixen on the surface and could be any kind. $275,000 juvenile buy led throughout at first asking, and she could be the one to catch with a clean break beneath Tyler Baze.
#5 BOOTYTAMA –– Unbeaten Animal Kingdom lass has yet to be headed from three lifetime tries for Molly Pearson. Kentucky-bred aired by 10 lengths in her 2020 debut at Turf Paradise, and the wildcard will be forcing the issue from the break on Saturday. Stewart Elliot picks up the potentially live mount.
#6 LEXI ON THE MOVE — Daughter of Fast Anna is 2-for-2 at the meeting and will face stakes foes for the initial time for Diodoro. The $160,000 2-year-old purchase has early presence combined with a strong turn of foot, and she could be up to the task on the class rise under Cohen.
#7 LADY GLAMOUR — Battle-tested contender had a smart juvenile campaign that was capped by a third-place finish in the Golden Rod (G2) at Churchill Downs. Chestnut makes her first outing since coming to the Kenny Smith shedrow, and she will be doing her best work from off the pace in this spot.
#8 FRANK’S ROCKETTE — Class of the field was brilliant in her 2020 bow at Gulfstream Park when dominating the Any Limit S. for Mott. Dual Grade-1 placed filly has been first or second in all five career assignments, and her best effort will make her tough to upend on Saturday. She will press the pace early under Garcia.
#9 KISS THE GIRL — Into Mischief sophomore was a smart allowance winner over a muddy, sealed surface in anticipation of the Purple Martin. Schuylerville (G3) runner-up could add value in her third try off the bench with expected improvement. Joe Rocco Jr. has the call.
#10 WASABI GIRL — Asmussen charge has placed in a pair of stakes tries in succession at the meeting. Daughter of Shanghai Bobby has finished in the money in each of her six lifetime attempts, and she has exotics appeal with a forward move on Saturday.
