Handicapper Tim Holland feels he has had a spotty couple of weeks, but can tout his picks of Thechromeweknow ($16.00) at Gulfstream Park on Sept. 13, Guildsman ($21.80) at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 16 and Count Again ($21.10) at Woodbine on Sept. 19. After 1135 races, Tim is showing a slight loss of -2.61%, but still holds onto his 526 races at odds of 5-1 or more, presenting a profit of 16.81%.

#5 Smarty Socks (9-2) was unable to make more than mild progress after trailing through slow early fractions on a soft turf at Delaware in her latest last month in her third start of the year. Daughter of 13% grass sire Smarty Jones has hit the board in one of two starts on turf for trainer Hendriks, who wins with 17% of his maiden claimers. Filly can be along from off the pace under Rodriguez, who has won with one of his last two rides for the barn.
Jeremiah Englehart wins with 19% of his first-time starters and saddles #7 Spirit of Life (5-1), a debuting daughter of 17% first-out sire Tapiture out of a mare by Scat Daddy, whose offspring win 16% of their first outings. Chestnut has been working well and Englehart has won with 23% of his starters at this meet. 3-year-old can win at first asking under Worrie, who has won with 30% of his rides for the barn in the past 60 days.
#6 Diamond Dust (6-1) has won two of six starts on this oval and comes off a fading sixth-place finish in the Honey Jay over the track and distance in early August in his second start after a short break. Trainer Hamm wins with 23% of his runners third time off a layoff and has won with 22% at this meet. Son of Paynter can be on or near the early lead with Correa riding.
Maidens on turf include #11 Linda Got Lucky (6-1), who showed improvement when on grass for the first time in her latest at Evangeline over 5 furlongs last month. Gray should appreciate the added distance being by Bernardini and out of a mare by Unbridled’s Song, and trainer Alonzo wins with 12% of his runners going a route for the first time. 3-year-old can be along from off the pace with Nieves in the saddle.
