How to Win     

In the event a single winner of the entire Derby City 6 Jackpot placed the winning wager via TwinSpires.com, the TwinSpires iOS application, or the TwinSpires Android application (collectively, “TwinSpires”), the actual jackpot in the wagering pool for the Derby City 6 (net of the track takeout) will be credited to the accountholder’s TwinSpires account (subject to any applicable tax withholding) as normal.  

Additionally, the accountholder will have their TwinSpires account credited in the amount representing the difference from the actual jackpot in the wagering pool for the Derby City 6 and $3 million (“Additional Guaranteed Amount”), subject to any applicable tax withholding. 

For example, if the actual jackpot in the wagering pool for the Derby City 6 is $1.4 million, the Additional Guaranteed Amount that the single successful TwinSpires accountholder would receive an additional account credit  of $1.6 million (subject to any applicable tax withholding).

In the event the actual jackpot in the wagering pool for the Derby City 6 is greater than $3 million, then no Additional Guaranteed Amount will be paid over and above the actual jackpot payout.

The TwinSpires Derby City 6 Jackpot Single Winner Guarantee is only available to TwinSpires retail advanced deposit wagering accountholders placing wagers via the TwinSpires online outlets listed in the preceding paragraph.  Bettors playing via any other online or brick-and-mortar outlet are not eligible to win any guaranteed amounts through this promotion.

The TwinSpires Derby City 6 Jackpot Single Winner Guarantee is only guaranteed if there is a single winner of the entire Derby City 6 Jackpot (i.e. with no carryover) on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

If there is more than one ticket that matches all 6 races in the Derby City 6 Jackpot pool on Saturday, June 28, 2025 (of all wagers, and not just wagers placed via TwinSpires), then no player will receive the Additional Guaranteed Amount, and any carryover will reflect the actual amount wagered into the pool irrespective of the guarantee. 

If there are not any winning tickets that match all 6 races in the Derby City 6 Jackpot pool on Saturday, June 28, 2025, then no player will receive the Additional Guaranteed Amount, and any carryover will reflect the actual amount wagered into the pool irrespective of the guarantee.

BetShare wagers and tournament wagers are not eligible to win the guaranteed TwinSpires Derby City 6 Jackpot Single Winner Guarantee.

Offer is valid Saturday, June 27\8, 2025, at Churchill Downs Racetrack and applies to Derby City 6 Jackpot wagers. TwinSpires reserves all rights to cancel the offer for any reason. Hit the Derby City 6 Jackpot as a single jackpot winner and receive the Additional Guaranteed Amount. The prize pool for this offer is the difference from the actual jackpot in the wagering pool for the Derby City 6 and $3 million. If the Derby City 6 Jackpot is not hit (i.e. if there are either zero Pick 6 winners or multiple Pick 6 winners), no player will receive the Additional Guaranteed Amount. In the event the actual jackpot in the wagering pool for the Derby City 6 is greater than $3 million, then no Additional Guaranteed Amount will be paid over and above the actual jackpot payout. Scratched runners and cancelled wagers will not count towards this offer. BetShare and tournament wagers will not count toward this offer. The single winner (if any) of an Additional Guaranteed Amount will have their account credited for Additional Guaranteed Amount (subject to any applicable tax withholding) following verification process and receipt of an affidavit from the potential prize winner attesting to his/her eligibility and compliance with these contest terms and the TwinSpires Terms and Conditions.
