Charles Whittingham Tops Hollywood Weekend

The weekend feature at Hollywood Park is the $200,000 Charles Whittingham Memorial H. (G2), to be run on Saturday. Some of the top grass stayers out west will go in this 1 ¼-mile test, including Grade 1 winner Slim Shadey, who was a fine second in this race a year ago. The Simon Callaghan trainee didn’t fire at Churchill in a bog last time but could get much better footing for this feature.

San Juan Capistrano H. (G2) winner Interaction, Grade 2 hero All Squared Away, Round Table S. runner-up Lime Rickey, Tokyo City S. (G3) star Sky Kingdom and San Juan Cap third Smart Ellis, will look to defeat the potential favorite.

Also on Saturday are the $150,000 Honeymoon H. (G3) and the $70,000 Manhattan Beach S.
