Chris Gattis claim has been pretty sharp in winning two of his last three, each on this oval, and the son of Mass Media could be the one in a pretty wide open test to kick off the sequence. Gelded chestnut has a nice turn of foot that he has parlayed into four wins on this oval, and the sophomore Florida-bred gets a nice post to save ground early near the rail. Barn 18% off the claim and Gomez should have this one in the second flight or so early on. |

Sweeping Victory |

Bay son of Orchard Park is not especially consistent, but the four-year-old can really run when he's on his game, and he must be included despite the outer post slot for this one. Javier Negrete trainee comes off a game win in getting up late last time and lands back with similar for a conditioner who is 11% with a winner last time out. Stalker has the tactical speed to be in the right spot early, and if he puts forth his best, he looms large under the guidance of Eddie Nunez. The bay has been very tough at this level recently. |

Prime Power boss from the barn of Fred Warren was just a head shy last time in with similar and makes a lot of sense in this route run. Six-year-old son of Tiger Ridge looks to get back on form after two fourth place showings prior to being second most recently, and he had a nice run this summer and fall with a trio of tallies and a second in a fine four race stretch. The Florida-bred could be getting back to fine form and looms a danger for sure for a 20% jockey/trainer combo with Monterrey in the silks. |

21-time winner is a six time winner on the Calder main oval and always gets a look with his natural speed and affinity to get to the winners' circle. Tom Schell charge drops in class after facing much better in advance of this and we like the post draw that puts him outside of the other main speed in the field, giving pilot Juan Delgado some options in the early going. The nine-year-old son of Outflanker has not been in very good form, but he has the back class and we'd feel better including this one at a price. |

Gray daughter of Shaniko ran into a tough top pair last time when third and will make her first run off the claim for Gatis in this one, who is 18% in that category. Kin to a pair of winners including one of the stakes variety, the juvenile filly showed improved tactical foot last time before being outrun late, but she lands in a weak spot here and we expect improvement from the win player on the barn change. Barn 25% with two-year-old contenders. |

Indy Silver Bullet |

Gray daughter of 13% debut sire Indy Wind has missed just one work in her last eight and could be ready first out of the box for a conditioner at a capable 10% first time out. Luis Duco pupil is the first out of this dam and is bred to run longer, so while this lass might peak later down the road, she lands in a most winnable spot for her debut and gets a long look, especially if she takes early money. Jose Caraballo takes the reins. |

Second timer took a lot of early money at first asking and failed to fire, but we will give her one more chance having one under her belt. Chestnut filly by solid young sire Corinthian gets a cozy rail draw in this murky second leg and does show a useful three-furlong blowout in preparation of this for conditioner Gilberto Zerpa, 18% with second time starters and a fine 24% at this meeting. the February foal gets the rail once again, but we expect a fine break and her potentially being the one to catch early on. Angel Moreno takes the call. |
