Colt can be a contender in his first start with Corey Lanerie riding. |

Grownmencry | 10/1 | Sneaky son of Showing Up has been washed off the turf in three straight and could thrive upon it today at a price. By a fine turf runner in his days, the Florida-bred colt was a fine maiden winner two back, and while outrun in his last two tries with winners, the sophomore showed some life in his lone turf run to date and we think this is his best surface ultimately. Trainer Barry Croft is a decent 11% second off the layoff and he tabs Jose Garcia to ride. Price should be big. |
4 | |
Monster Mash | 3/1 | Curtis Garrison trainee rallied from well back to be third at this level last time, and the son of Ghostzapper makes a lot of sense in this field being a winner on this turf oval three back. Four-year-old colt has a nice combination was very sharp in running down a clear one in his lone try at this venue and lands in a mostly soft spot as a major force in the field. Juan Leyva will ride and likely have this one near midpack early on. |
9 | |
Saturday's for Fun | 8/1 | Gelded son of Any Given Saturday hasn't bee in the hunt for a few races now, but the four-year-old has flashed a hint of ability when running against better at Monmouth, and the change of scenery might help wake this one up switching to the barn of Reynaldo Robles, 24% with horses coming off of this type of layoff. Florida-bred hails from a barn having a cold meeting to this point, but his lone race here was decent and he could get a nice trip behind what looks to be a contested early pace. Jose Delgado will ride the longshot. |

Crysta's Court | 2/1 | Consistently good daughter of Silent Name gets a fine draw on the outside of this field and is a must use in this sequence for conditioner Justin Nixon, a 26% allowance trainer. Bay three-year-old filly is a stakes winner on this main oval while donning with a 6-2-1-2 mark at this venue and has been sharp since with a win and three placings as of late. Handy sort tops the field in Prime Power and will likely be forcing the pace some from the start beneath Luis Contreras. |
2 | |
Seaboa | 6/1 | Robert Tiller trainee ran a good one behind a clear leader into the stretch last time in finishing third, and a better trip behind a more contested pace should aid this one a big way today. Sophomore filly loves this main oval with an 9-2-3-2 local line and has the positional speed to be forwardly placed or rating off the tempo in the gray filly's second run off the shelf. Steven Baher has the ride and we surely would want this one on the ticket. |
7 | |
Generous Consort | 4/1 | Prime Power second comes in with a pair of wins in succession on this main strip and has been showing very nice improvement along the way Darren Glennon, 11% at this meeting. Chestnut filly by Philanthropist overcame a wide post to beat a decent field at the allowance level here last time and makes the natural next step following four morning spins in advance of this run. Chance under Boulanger. |
6 | |
Born to Be Queen | 8/1 | Dark bay daughter of Bold Executive has been quite sharp in her last pair and exits a solid allowance second last time on a big class rise. Ontario-bred has a big turn of foot and lands in a field with at least a bit of early pace, on an oval where she has won or placed in five of ten outings. David Garcia has the assignment atop the sophomore, who will be relaxed early and making one run turning for home. Jockey/trainer 20% last 60 days. |

11 | |
Tread | 5/2 | Daughter of Arch has not been seen since finishing third over seven furlongs here in June after setting the early fractions but has been working well for trainer Al Stall who wins with 28% of his runners that have not raced for 90 days or more. Stall has won with 21% of his starters since the beginning of the year and filly, who finished fourth in a stakes at Pimlico two back, has speed and can be a contender from the start with Shaun Bridgmohan in the saddle. |

Delightfully So | 12/1 | Gray showed little when tried on turf at Kentucky Downs in her latest in September but has won two of her five lifetime starts on regular dirt. Trainer Kellyn Gorder wins with 35% of his runners switching from turf to dirt and has won with 20% of his starters since the beginning of the meet and daughter of Indian Charlie has some early speed and can be near the front from the start under Joe Rocco who won with his last two mounts for the barn. |

Gal About Town | 4/1 | Chestnut was last seen when narrowly defeated as the favorite at Keeneland over six and a half furlongs in October when making her first start since January and finished second in both of her two previous starts at Churchill.
