Louisiana Derby Tickets
Louisiana Derby Day is the biggest afternoon of racing at Fair Grounds Race Course, a historic venue in New Orleans that opened in 1852 and is recognized as the third oldest Thoroughbred track in America.
A major prep for the Kentucky Derby six weeks later, the 1 1/8-mile Louisiana Derby is a feeder race for all three events in the Triple Crown. Belmont Stakes winners Palace Malice (2013) and Drosselmeyer (2010) both competed in Louisiana Derby and Funny Cide (2003) was the last contestant to capture the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
Horse players look forward to a strong undercard, with six supporting stakes races adding quality to the Louisiana Derby Day program, and contentious fields often yield lucrative wagering returns.
Clubhouse and box seat reservations will be available in early January. Tickets will be available as we get closer to race day!
