Kicking off the card for the final day at Royal Ascot 2012 is The Chesham Stakes, a Listed race over 7 furlongs for juveniles. It is worth keeping an eye on the Richard Hannon entrants for this race, as he has teamed up with jockey Richard Hughes to win two recent renewals. Last year's winner was the highly regarded Ballydoyle filly, Maybe.

The older middle distance animals then take their place in The Hardwicke Stakes, run over 1 1 /2 miles. This Group 2 race was won in 2010 by Harbinger, who went on to destroy his rivals in Group 1 when he took The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth over the same course and distance a month later. Many people saw Aidan O'Brien's Await The Dawn as the banker of last year's royal meeting.

The feature race of Saturday, and one of the best races of the week, is the Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes. A sprint over 6 furlongs. Along with the King's Stand Stakes, the race is part of the lucrative Global Sprint Challenge. Consequently attracts some high class international raiders, such as Choisir, who won the race in 2003. Brilliant unbeaten mare Black Caviar has been committed to this race by trainer Peter Moody. She has won all 21 of her starts to date and along with Frankel, this Aussie sprinting superstar will be the star attraction of Royal Ascot 2012.

The Wokingham Stakes is the oldest surviving handicap existing at Ascot. It is another race with a huge field, where the draw and pace angles could be all important. Royal Ascot's penultimate race is the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes, another heritage handicap. Run over about 6 furlongs, leading trainer Sir Michael Stoute has a fine record in the contest.

What promises to be a scintillating week of racing ends with the Queen Alexandra Stakes, run over 2 3/4 miles. It is Britain's longest flat race, and often attracts hurdlers as well as flat horses.
