Santa Anita Winter Meet
The Super Bowl isn't the only thing happening in California this weekend thanks to Santa Anita's huge racing cards starting on Saturday. Headlined by the $150,000 Robert B. Lewis (G3) and the $500,000 San Antonio Stakes (G2), "The Great Race Place" has four graded stakes worth over $1 Million in purse money and plenty of star power kicking off Saturday afternoon.
Los Alamitos Futurity (G1) winner Mor Spirit headlines a seven horse field in the Robert B. Lewis and will be challenged by Let's Meet in Rio, Dressed in Hermes, and I Will Score.
The $500,000 San Antonio (G2) will be well represented in the 1 1/8-mile race for older horses with Hoppertunity, Hard Aces, and El Kabeir attempting to add more wins to their resumes.
Did we mention that 2015 Eclipse Champion 2 Year Old Filly Songbird is making her 3 year old debut in the $300,000 Las Virgenes (G2)? The Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly looks to continue her winning ways as she points to The Kentucky Oaks and beyond.
