A stacked field of Derby hopefuls will contest the G1 $750,000 Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland this Saturday, with a huge group expected. G2 Kentucky Jockey Club winner Santiva put the finishing touches in his preparation of this race earlier in the week and should be a big factor here.

Euro invader Crimson China gives Team Valor a player in this one, second to the impressive Swift Warrior at Turfway last out, the well-meant sophomore should appreciate the added ground here. Swift Warrior dominated the Battaglia last out in his first start for John Terranova and must be respected as a pace factor.

West Point’s multiple stakes winner King Congie would be a big danger if his turf form transfers over for Tom Albertrani. Other top nominees include  Wilcox Inn, Brilliant Speed, Wilkinson and the Bill Mott-trained Newsdad.

The wagering menu at Keeneland this weekend includes a $250,000 All Stakes Pick 4 on Saturday.
