VANITY PITS THE TOP LADIES OUT WEST

The feature race this weekend at Hollywood Park is the $250,000 Vanity H. (G1) for fillies and mares on the main oval. A compact, yet ultra-talented, field is set for this one. Multiple Grade 1 heroine Zazu was a little short in her 2012 debut last time on this oval, but should be set for a big late run in this spot for trainer John Sadler. The four-year-old gray by Tapit has had success on this oval and could just need a strong pace to aid her stretch kick.

Grade 1-winning lass Include Me Out is atop this division right now and has taken three straight graded affairs. The Ron Ellis charge was a solid winner on this oval most recently and is quite versatile as she has never been better. Santa Maria S. (G2) victress Ellafitz was game when second to the aforementioned last time for conditioner Bob Baffert, and she will likely take her customary spot on the lead in this run. Grade 2 placed Caelis and Gamely S. (G1) third Capital Plan are also likely for this fine field.

The $100,000 Cinderella S. and $100,000 Willard Proctor Memorial S., both for juveniles, are on the undercard for Saturday.
