NATIVE DIVER AND BAYAKOA STAR AT HOLLYWOOD
A pair of graded races highlight the Hollywood Park weekend. Sunday plays host to the $150,000 Bayakoa H. (G2), with a solid field signed on. Jerry Hollendorfer will be represented with a pair in this one, defending champ Washington Bridge and Palomar H. (G2) queen City to City. Both of these ladies get a lot of respect in this field.
Ultra talented stakes winner Home Sweet Aspen has done little wrong for conditioner John Sadler, and could go off favored in this one. Grade 2 vixen Sarah’s Secret and Group 1-winning import Vamo A Galupiar, also deserve a look in here.
The $100,000 Native Diver H. (G3) is Saturday, with the top pair from the Yo Eleven S. – Racing Aptitude and Tweebster – giving trainer Bob Baffert a strong duo here. Others likely are Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) third Tres Borrachos, Shug McGaughey’s Rescue Squad, allowance runner-up Massone and Grade 2 victor Gladding, topping the list of likely candidates.
