We`ll take a shot at the Pick-6 carryover even though I have no idea whether or not the 6th, 8th and 10th races will remain on the turf, hence, I`ll have to spread a bit more than I would like.

This race and the 11th race could make or break the pick-4 and pick-5 value, as both events feature prominent 2010 Breeders` Cup contenders. In this event, last year`s Filly & Mare Turf champ SHARED ACCOUNT makes her 2011 debut and although this is clearly not an important race for her — she finished fourth in this same contest last year — today`s field leaves much to be desired. Still, I find DYNA WALTZ intriguing. Not only are her Racing Post numbers second only to the likely heavy favorite, but she has a little bit of early zip as well, which is often the Achilles` Heel of foreign-based runners.

The same connections that saddled the 2010 winner of this race — and eventual BC Classic champ — Blame, enter APART today. And, like his vaunted stable mate last year, I think Apart is clearly the one to beat.

I analyze the field in my latest podcast at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/twinspires, but, in a nutshell, I`m keying DIALED IN and ANIMAL KINGDOM.

I love CHINA`s improving pace figures and his last race is good enough to win this. SAFETY CHECK looks like a strong contender as well, but mainly I`m trying to beat vulnerable morning line favorite VENTANA, who is just 1-for-8 on the dirt and possesses ho-hum speed and pace figures, despite holding a considerable class edge.
