All America Greyhound Team Announced

For 50 years, the American Greyhound Track Operators Association has picked 8 greyhounds to form their All America Team. This year's team is composed of 8 outstanding greyhounds from Southland, Palm Beach, Orange Park, Derby Lane, Bluffs Run and Tri State. Here's the roster:

Bella Infrared (David Blair Kennel) Won the Southland Derby with no defeats in the series. Two straight years as win leader at Southland. 91% In The Money at Southland in 2012.

J's Robin (D Q Williams Kennel) North American win leader in 2012. Won Puppy Stakes by 14.5 lengths! Runner up in James Patton Silver Cup and the Jacksonville Sprint Classic and third in the Orange Park Derby. This black female can run sprints or routes with equal success.

CTW Bronze Drake (Clear The Way Kennel) 2012 Wheeling win leader. Had three 5 race win streaks and 18 AA wins by 4 or more lengths. His record for the year is 28 wins from 44 races.

Tiger Boy (McAllister Kennel) This is his second year on the team for this stakes winner from Derby Lane. With stakes wins in both sprint and route distances, this versatile black male was the win leader for 2012 at the St Petersburg oval.

SH Avatar (Hardison Kennel) Won the $500,000 Iowa Breeder Stakes. Was 87% In The Money for owners Tom Sugihara and Bob Hardison. One of two team members sired by Kiowa Mon Manny.

Riverview Stevie (Rader Racing Kennel) 93% In The Money for this red female who runs at Palm Beach. She won the Mother’s Day All-Star race and the Triple Crown Hot Box feature. She was third in the Arthur J Rooney Invitational and the He's My Man Classic.

Optimus Prime (Olympic Heritage Kennel) Twelve consecutive wins in Grade AA and 85% In The Money for this son of Dodgem By Design made him a favorite with the crowd at Mardi Gras at Tri State in West Virginia. He is owned by James Johnson.

O Ya Billy Bob (Rader Racing Kennel) Won the Dick Andrews Futurity in a record setting time of 29.37. The dark brindle male also had a 7 race win streak and a winning sprint time that is the third fastest in the track's history. He's the youngest All American.

The eight All America Team members will receive their awards at the Greyhound Hall of Fame ceremony on Thursday night April 25, 2013.
