Vanderbilt Commodores College Football Info
Derek Mason returns in his 5th year as the Commodores head coach returning 12 starters from last year's 5-7 SU and 4-7-1 ATS team including senior quarterback Kyle Shurmur and the entire offensive line. Last year the Commodores were able to take down Tennessee to avoid being at the bottom of the SEC East. This year they will face a favorable Ole Miss and Arkansas from the West but will also have to play at Notre Dame. The impact of their lopsided, 17-41 loss against NC State in the 2016 Independence Bowl remains to be seen.
