FanEx Sports: Tips for EasyScore Pick’em Games NFL Week 11

Week 11 of the NFL season is fast approaching and it’s time to take home some cash in the QB Throwdown, RB Rushing Roulette and WR Downfield Threat. Each EasyScore Pick’em game focuses on one position and gives you three tiers from each position to choose from. So in the end you’ll have three players on your team, either QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs or even Kickers!

Here are my three teams for this week:

 

QB Throwdown

• Tier 1: Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford, Cam Newton

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Peyton Manning: Of course Drew Brees and Matthew Stafford are also good picks in this one, but I like Manning’s receiving core better and amazingly enough, Kansas City gives up more passing yards per game than either Pittsburgh or San Francisco.

 

• Tier 2: Philip Rivers, Robert Griffin III, Matt Ryan, Andrew Luck, Ben Roethlisberger, Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, Michael Vick

Robert Griffin III: Griffin has been playing better of late. He looks healthier and he’s got another weapon in Jordan Reed. The Eagles are giving up the second most passing yards per game and that shouldn’t change as long as the Eagles are running an up tempo offense.  If you take away his horrid game in Denver Griffin is averaging 289.75 yards passing per game.

 

• Tier 3: Joe Flacco, Alex Smith, Jake Locker, Jay Cutler, Eli Manning, Andy Dalton, Terrelle Pryor, Ryan Tannehill

Eli Manning: This one is tough. I don’t love any of these quarterbacks. Joe Flacco has been playing horribly on the road, Andy Dalton threw for just 206 yards the last time he faced Cleveland, Jake Locker and Jay Cutler aren’t playing, Ales Smith is averaging 213 yards passing per game, Ryan Tannehill hasn’t topped 229 yards passing in his last four games and Eli Manning hasn’t topped 246 in his last four. So I took a look at the matchups . Denver allows the most yards passing, but I just can’t trust Alex Smith, especially with Von Miller back in the fold. Green Bay is next on the list and they head to New York where Eli Manning has been playing conservatively. I’m hoping now that Andre Brown is back it will help give Manning more time to make decisions in the pocket and hit his many good receivers.

 

Rushing Roulette

• Tier 1: Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte, Adrian Peterson, LeSean McCoy, Marshawn Lynch, Reggie Bush, Frank Gore, Eddie Lacy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Marshawn Lynch: The Seahawks should finally have their offensive line back and healthy and the Vikings' rush defense ranks 17th in the NFL averaging 113.7 yards allowed per game. He’s also averaging about 10 more yards per game at home than on the road.

 

• Tier 2: Arian Foster, Knowshon Moreno, Giovani Bernard, Alfred Morris, Chris Johnson, Rashad Jennings, Darren McFadden, Andre Ellington

Alfred Morris: Morris has had a great season, but most fantasy players look at all the touchdowns he has missed, but he is second in yards rushing per game with 91.7 and leads all starters with his 5.2 yards per carry.

 

• Tier 3: Lamar Miller, Le'Veon Bell, Danny Woodhead, Darren Sproles, DeAngelo Williams, Maurice Jones-Drew, Johnathan Franklin, Chris Ivory

Le'Veon Bell: This group is a little scary to choose from, so I’m leaning toward the guy with the best chance for rushing attempts. Bell averages 17 per game and the Steelers are doing their best to get him the ball. The Lions are a tough run defense, so this won’t be an easy one, but I like his chances better than the others.

 

Downfield Threat

• Tier 1: Calvin Johnson, Jordy Nelson, T.Y. Hilton, Demaryius Thomas, A.J. Green, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, Vincent Jackson

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Larry Fitzgerald: I’m going out on a limb here and taking Fitzgerald. The Cardinals have had a tough schedule this season and Fitzgerald’s numbers reflect that. They finally get an easy matchup this week and I think they’ll get Fitzgerald his work.

 

• Tier 2: Wes Welker, Victor Cruz, Antonio Brown, Alshon Jeffery, Josh Gordon, Eric Decker, Santonio Holmes, Hakeem Nicks

Antonio Brown: Brown is averaging 89.4 yards per game which ranks him fifth for wide receivers. He is one of the few options who you can be assured of at least some production. The Lions' pass defense ranks 27th in the NFL averaging 275.6 net yards allowed per game.

 

• Tier 3: Justin Blackmon, James Jones, DeSean Jackson, Nate Washington, Brandon LaFell, Rueben Randle, Roddy White, Mike Wallace

DeSean Jackson: Nick Foles hasn’t been the end to DeSean Jackson’s statistics and this week the Eagles take on Washington and their 26th ranked pass defense. Over the last two weeks Jackson has caught 9 passes for 230 yards. Washington won’t be much of a deterrent.
