George Morton Levy and Bluechip Matchmaker Stakes on Saturday at Yonkers

Post position may play a big part in who prevails in both series this time out, because some of the leading horses have the worst post positions at the half mile track. Look for at least one upset when an outside favorite doesn't leave in time or gets parked out while trying to close on the leaders. Also, look closely at your program because post positions and program numbers are different in some of the races.

One of the lucky entries to draw post 1 is Feeling You in race 7, the Bluechip Matchmaker Final. Tyler Buter has piloted this Cambest mare to two victories in this series from the 1 post, once with the fastest time in the series! Trying to outgun her will be Ron Burke's entries Camille and Rocklamation in the 3 and 7 posts, respectively. Krispy Apple in the 6 post will be trying to make up for a break that probably cost her the race last time out, but has a poor post to do it from.

In the 6th race, the Matchmaker Consolation, there's another Ron Burke entry, Ramalama in the 1 post and Ginger and Fred in the 8 post and they're at 3-5 in the morning line. Ramalama ran a very game race last time out, but my money is on #5 Handsoffmycookie with Tim Tetrick. Just missed last time out and I think this time she'll be there first at the wire. With 9 out of 13 for the exacta at Yonkers, she'll definitely be in my exotics.

The 5th race for George Morton Levy eligibles is a handicapper's nightmare. It has the pretty evenly matched Eighteen, Sapphire City and Rockincam and some improving horses like Atochia and Code Word, although Code Word was scratched in his last race and hasn't run since March 30th which makes him a question mark for me. Another question mark is that break from Sapphire City in his last, something he hasn't done in the past.

In the 9th race, the George Morton Levy Consolation Open, Tim Tetrick is back on #2 EZ Noah, which makes him a pick for me in exotics, along with #5 Shoobee's Place and #4 Classic Rock NRoll.

On to the 10th race which is the George Morton Levy Series Final, and one of those races where you have to check the program numbers against post positions. For instance, #1 Annieswesterncard, is in the 3 post at 9-5 in the morning line. Matt Kakaley will be driving the gelding who has won 4 times in this series. Yannick Gingras is back on #1a Foiled Again, the other Burke entry, who will go from the 7 post.

It's hard to tell if Foiled Again can handle the outside post on the half mile track, because as far back as I can research, he's never been in it. Most of his previous races were at longer tracks and in other posts. He's come in third from the 8 post at Woodbine, but that doesn't help me handicap this race at Yonkers.

Razzle Dazzle, on the other hand, just won from the 1 post and that's where he is now, so I'll play him on top and in exotics with Annieswesterncard and #4 Dancin Yankee, who has impressed me with his speed in his last few races. I just hope that Something For Doc doesn't show his class by winning in spite of the 7 post for his new owner, Mark Ford. I may put a win bet on him and throw him into exotics, just to be safe.

These two series have provided some of the best harness racing this year and the finales should be well worth watching. Good betting opportunities are always a possibility when the best horses run against each other and that's exactly what will happen on Saturday at Yonkers.
