George Morton Levy Stakes Continues With 5th Leg on Saturday at Yonkers

April 19th, 2013

It's crunch time for the series and there are some very contentious matches on tap in races 4, 6, 7 and 9 on Saturday night at Yonkers Raceway.

In Race 4, Division 1, Annieswesterncard and Yannick Gingras will be trying to take advantage of the 1 post to cinch a berth in the finals. Trying to stop them will be Sapphire City, the overachiever that came in second by a nose to Razzle Dazzle in his last at 55-1! Brent Holland drove a very smart and game race in that one and will certainly be trying to get Sapphire City's nose over the line faster for first this time.

In Race 6, Versado in post 4, who was scratched in his last, looks to be the competition for Something For Doc in the 1 post. Clear Vision in post 6 has the time but maybe not the position in this one. I like #5 Lettucerocku for a piece of the exotics at 10-1.

In Race 7, Razzle Dazzle will be the horse to beat, from the 1 post. Second Wind and Rockincam will probably be chasing him, but I don't think they'll catch him. Watch out for Atochia in the 5 post. He had to go three wide in his last and still got second from the 7 post. Not an easy thing to do at Yonkers.

In Race 9, Foiled Again will probably win, but that will present a problem for Ron Burke, who can only have two horses in the finals. Will he decide to sell Something For Doc or Annieswesterncard? Sometimes, harness racing has more drama than a miniseries, so stay tuned to this one to find out who's in and who's out for the finals.
