Greyhound Handicapping Picks - Friday January 18, 2013

January 18th, 2013

When three of the dogs on my watch list showed up in one race, I knew I had too many picks to post in the regular section today. So, I'll post them here. These pups are ones that I've watched since they started schooling. They might not hit the board today, but they all have potential, so you might want to add them to your list of dogs to keep an eye on in future.

Palm Beach Afternoon Race #1 #1 Kebo Peppers (7-1) With the inside box, I think this determined pup will get a chance to hit the board, maybe even win. #8 T's Highway Man (9-2) Rader Racing has this one ready to show what he can do. Maybe this time? #5 Jimmy Palmer PC (3-1) Jimmy keeps knocking on the door, but can't quite get to that win. He deserves a spot in the exotics in this one.

Palm Beach Evening Race #1 #1 Turbo Tom (6-1) Second by 6.5 lengths to his speedster brother, Turbo Ted, who just broke his maiden. Might be Tom's turn this time.

Bluff's Run Afternoon Race #2 #1 WW's Fee (10-1) A longshot, to be sure. But if this pup can resist the urge to check slightly on the turns, and runs as well as she did in her last race, she'll be in for the win. She wants the inside and she has it here if she gets out of the box and takes it.

Sarasota Afternoon Race #8 #6 Eye Candy (6-1) Tough post position so she's a bit of a longshot. I have a soft spot for these feisty little fawn females though and this 58 pound daughter of Dodgem By Design and SE's Skidder has heart. She ran a good race last time out and will give it her best shot this time too, I'm sure.
