Casey Coleman Named Trainer of the Year at O'Brien Awards

The 32 yr old trainer from Ontario picked up 4 awards for herself and her connections and also Trainer of the Year. Two horses she trains, Betterthancheddar and Michael's Power, won trophies in the Older Pacing Horse and 3 Year Old Pacing Colt division, respectively. Michael's Power added to the accolades by winning Canadian Horse of the Year.

Windsun Galliano notched his third win in four starts to win the Super Bowl at The Meadowlands on Saturday night. Driver Andie Miller took him second over and guided him to a record time of 1:53.4 over his stablemate, Helios.

Moving from second past an offstride Mr Hasani N, Tim Tetrick and Golden Receiver took the final of the Presidential Pace in 1:49.3. The 1-5 favorite made quick work of first over, Dial or No Dial and Fred and Ginger who were 3rd and 2nd over the finish line. It's the 4th win in 4 races, this year, for Golden Receiver, who has won $1.7 million in his career.

Holdingallthecards, with Tim Tetrick handling the reins, was victorious in the final of the $67,400 Clyde Hirt Series for 4 Yo Pacers at the Meadowlands on Saturday night in a time of 1:51.1. The 4-5 favorite took the lead at the quarter and gamely held off bids by several other horses before crossing the wire first for the fourth time in four races, this year.
