National Championship picks, Jan 23

January 22nd, 2016

The 2016 BetAmerica Daytona 550 National Cha
mpionship race runs Saturday evening, January 23 in Daytona Beach, Florida and the excitement and anticipation are reaching a fever pitch as 8 extremely talented, gifted and accomplished greyhounds will be going paw to paw for the title. Included in this star studded field are two of Southland's best, Chasmo's Dutch and Flying Fired Up. Post positions were drawn last Friday evening and they are listed below. Please note that there was a change to the original field as Seldom Told took the spot of Boc's Hank Jr. who was a late scratch. Last year's winner was HUSKER MAGIC and she is back to defend her title. As I said in an earlier post, there is no doubt it's an outstanding field with superstar runners giving their all in their quest for the win so best of luck to all greyhounds entered and all their connections as well. A special thanks to United Greyhound Racing for their vision and tireless efforts in bringing this together as well as BetAmerica and all others who have made this event possible. Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone.

MoneyMaker Mike's pick to win is CHASMO'S DUTCH with FLYING FIRED UP to run second. I will play the 2 with the 3/5/7/8 in quinielas and trifectas. With a field of this caliber and knowing any one of these greyhounds could pull off the win, I'm going with the Southland gang to come thru with huge efforts. Good luck to all the entries and their connections.
