Australia Racing Preview for 3/25/2014

Midweek racing is down the coast at Mornington today, let’s try and get some bank building done for the weekend approaching!
MORNINGTON – AUS A
RACE 3 - ORBIT FITNESS HANDICAP 1200m $35,000 (AUS)
Would expect GIRL GUIDE and SET TO SKELTER to be fighting out the lead. There's not much other speed outside this pair. CENTAURAINE and PIXIE EYES may be looking to box seat. GIRL GUIDE will be all the rage here with Williams taking over. She looks very smart and on her effort last time it seems she's desperate for further than 1000m. Interesting to note a tongue tie goes on. SUMMER GEM ran well at Kyneton 1st up in a race with more depth than this one. She'll be the swooper. SET TO SKELTER continues to race well. CENTAURAINE from the box seat is next best.

RACE 4 - CASHMART PAWNBROKERS HANDICAP 2020m $35,000 (AUS)
ST ISSEY ran very well last time in a slowly run race. That was a BM90 and this is a BM70. She looks well placed. SACRED DREAM gets to a trip now that will suit. Take out the Bendigo run and she's been going well. Forget MADAM ARCHER's last run. If she can find the box seat she'll be competitive. SILK AND DIAMONDS has got better with her racing this prep. WALDORF fights on like 2000m will be ok but she does rise in weight.

RACE 5 - PROGRESS SIGNS HANDICAP 1200m $35,000 (AUS)
When Our Protocol is engaged there's usually good speed. GRAND GALLOP was an impressive debut winner at Cranbourne. It was a soft win and she looked to have a lot left to give. Her trainer gave her a huge wrap post-race in a TVN interview. SAVA NUGGET was luckless and good 1st up at Geelong. He can sit back off the fast speed and be strong. ESPRIT WARRIOR is another drawn for a good run around midfield who should be strong. Forget STAR BEAUTY's 1st up run. She's a definite light-weight chance on her best form.
