Mid-week racing again takes place at Sandown this week on the lakeside course. Let’s take a look and see where the winners are!
SANDOWN – AUS A
RACE 2 - ALH GROUP SUPPORTS TARALYE PLATE 2100m (AUS) $35,000
Thought KING OF DUDES should've gone close to winning at Warrnambool 2nd up. He looks nicely placed out to the 2100m 3rd run in. MCNULTY is definitely the danger. Like the fight he showed at Seymour when just no match for Word Of Mouth. He needs another win. TAMPERE can go on after his confidence booster last time. ABOUT THE JOURNEY is flying but ideally wants it wetter. THROW THE KING is next best in another even race.

RACE 5 - SLICKPIX HANDICAP 1600m $35,000 (AUS) 4YO+ MARES
Have to say the French mare SUSPICIEUSE has trialled well in preparation for her Australian debut. She is listed placed and must be respected. This race might set up nicely for GODSPIEL. Think back to 1600m is the key. Her best recent run was her last start at 1600m when she dead heated for 4th in a G3 mares race. Winkers go on. ZAZPARELLA deserves a change of luck. Oliver takes over. HIGH DESIGN did enough 1st up. She'll be better at the 1600m 2nd up. SUITE SUCCESS next best

RACE 6 - SPORTINGBET BEST TOTE PLUS 5% HANDICAP 1400m $35,000 (AUS)
This is a tough one! TOO DEADLY (much better last time he raced), LONROCKSTAR (sound in similar race last time, no reason he cannot win this), PLAY MASTER (winning horse, pity about the outside gate, it does hinder his chances in my opinion), STRADALE (was ok 1stup), WROTHAM HEATH (returns gelded, jump outs have looked ok, the concentration level may be better now), AURUM SPIRIT (big run 1st up, if repeats can win), SETTLERS WAY (not worst fresh 1400m), THE TEN BOB (no surprise if better ground helps him here today), MOSSMONEY (recent jump-out was sound, must be a chance), BEDISGUISED (his 3yo form is ok) and COLICCHIO (did enough 1st up to warrant a little attention here)
