Mid-week racing at Sandown to help recover from the blues of no Triple Crown this year. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and turn our attention to some fresh racing and making bank!
SANDOWN LAKESIDE – AUS A
RACE 5 - BUSHNELL OUTDOOR PRODUCTS HANDICAP 1200m $35,000 (AUS)
DARCIWOOD resumes, he is 2 from 2 1st-up and boasts a closeup 3rd to Emblems/Knoydart, he still has some upside. WRITTEN INTENT was terrific at Flemington last time in a very strong race, a repeat of that goes close here! SUPREME WARRIOR hit line nicely 1st-up and has won 3 of 4 second-up. ESPRIT'S CHOICE has come back well, the form around her is strong. BRIEFED can fly fresh! THE THIEF is honest and has a case too.

RACE 6 - SPORTINGBET BEST TOTE PLUS 5% HANDICAP 1200m $35,000 (AUS)
GOLD HEIST made a good return at Cranbourne splitting Atlantis Dream (then won in town) and Nadhima (ran well MV Sat.) despite betting drift, fancy fitter here. MITFORD SISTER was backed at odds that same race and had limited luck, the form around her previous runs is strong, if gate 1 is ok she may be the value danger. UNIQUE STORM comes off good/close 3rd in City/Sat class and can win if she runs a strong 1200m. TRUSTAM is off a city win Vs males and is a must. MAGIC CURVES has weight advantage on her. BAREMIN, betting??

RACE 7 - MISTABLE HANDICAP 1200m $35,000 (AUS)
Not easy. ANFITRIONA won the maiden fresh last prep (beating one who then won maiden by 8.5L) before being highly competitive with Shamalia/ Sense And Reason, that is City/Sat form in Sydney. MITZI DEL BRA made a top return Geelong without a ton of luck, 1200m looks suitable. PATRICIA DAWN placed in Kev Hayes Stks fresh last prep, that run goes close! IT'S ONE had excuses for mine fresh-up, she trialled super prior. MIRACLE TO ME (what mood?) and SLINKY VEENESS (impressive debut win!) in wider best.
