BC Internationals: Juvenile Turf contender Shogun

Shogun is one of three Aidan O'Brien trainees, along with Hit It A Bomb and Waterloo Bridge, pre-entered to the 2015 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) at Keeneland.
A full brother to this year's Oaks (G1) upsetter Qualify, Shogun moved forward off a forgettable debut to win smartly second time out at the Curragh July 18 (click link for replay). The Fastnet Rock colt was favored to continue progressing in the Futurity (G2), but he couldn't do himself justice on the rain-softened going:
Shogun nevertheless took a class hike for the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (G1) on Arc Day at Longchamp, where he made some late progress for sixth. Note that Juvenile Turf rival Cymric is the near-miss second:
