This is the view for you if you want a quick graphical way to bet on horses based on their prior history.

How do I use Fast Form handicapping view to win?

  • Last Six is the horse's race record in his last six starts. This is meant to be read from left to right, with the furthest race chronologically to start with and ending with the horse's most recent finishing position.
  • Favored Last Race is a quick way to see whether the bettors believed enough in the horse last time out to make him the post time favorite. This can be helpful when looking at the horse's current odds: if he was favored last out but is a longshot now, it may be a signal that a Win bet on him would be a losing one.
  • Has Won at Track is helpful because some horses just like certain tracks and run better at them. One of the best recent examples is Flat Out: in 29 starts at 10 different racetracks, the millionaire multiple G1 winner won 9 times. Six of those wins (or 67%) came in New York at Saratoga, Belmont, or Aqueduct (Flat Out was particularly partial to Belmont Park). Even more incredible: he ran third or better 19 times and 14 (or an astounding 74%) of those efforts were in New York.
  • Has Won at Distance can be useful because horses do not run at the same distance every race. A trainer may decide to try a sprinter past 7f or cut a router back from a 1-1/16 mi. to a sprint in the hopes of securing a win.
