A compact field of six will travel one mile on the Aqueduct main oval in Saturday’s $150,000 Go For Wand S. Recent Pumpkin Pie S. victress #3 Weigh the Risks (1-1) is the one to beat for conditioner Chad Brown.
Weigh The Risks – With
- $15 trifecta key 3 with 2,5 ($30)
Weigh The Risks – Against
- $4 trifecta 2,5 with 2,3,5 with 2,3,5 ($16)
- $1 trifecta 2,5 with 2,3,5 with all ($16)
The Klaravich color bearer was transferred to the main oval in November of 2024 and has flourished ever since, with four wins and a second in her five subsequent performances. By Mendelssohn, the four-year-old has been running exclusively in one-turn affairs and has flourished, especially on this oval where she dons a 4-3-1-0 mark upon. The Kentucky-bred has displayed good gate presence combined with a strong turn of foot, and she will be difficult to upend on Saturday with a move forward while making just her third appearance since February. Manny Franco will take the reins.

#5 Just Katherine (6-1) will aim to annex her first black-type race off the nearly 15-month absence for conditioner Jose Jimenez. The five-year-old daughter of Justify flashed a lot of potential at three; she put in a few big runs in 2024, and the mare has trained well in advance of her return, as well. She is a two-time winner on the oval with an additional second-place result from four local showings, and the Kentucky-bred was a fine second to a subsequent Grade 1 heroine in her lone run at one mile, too. If the lass can stay close early in a field lacking pace, then she will be a threat inside the final furlong under Civaci.
Grade 3 heroine #2 Scalable (4-1) will likely not get the right pace set up to aid her strong late kick, but the Todd Pletcher trainee was a nice third in the Pumpkin Pie S. most recently and could improve in her third run off the shelf. The Speightstown four-year-old seems perfectly suited to the one-turn mile and fits in this affair from a class perspective. Kentucky-bred gray has earned triple-digit Brisnet Late Pace figures in both of her races since January and wouldn’t be a major surprise with Kendrick Carmouche in the controls.
