Dancing Rags is unbeaten on the main track in two starts since beginning her career with a third-place run in a maiden turf contest at Laurel Park on August 5.

The bay lass stayed at Laurel and switched to the main track to earn that initial first score by 1 3/4 lengths for trainer Graham Motion while going a mile. She then shipped to Keeneland for the Alcibiades Stakes (G1) on October 7 and pulled off a one-length win.

Dancing Rags took up a good position down on the inside heading onto the backstretch. The bay daughter of Union Rags tracked the pacesetter just off the rail in third, then went outside the leader entering the turn. She grabbed command upon hitting the lane and just held off Daddys Lil Darling from near the rear of the pack to secure the win.

Dancing Rags has steadily increased her BRIS Speed ratings with each start and successfully passed the distance test in the Alcibiades. She’ll be a definite contender on the front end and could once again lead the charge to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) wire.
