Picks for the Breeders’ Cup Turf

Under the Rader: Tiffany - While trainer Sir Mark Prescott will reportedly be watching the Turf from home in his nightclothes, he’s managed this mare’s career extremely well, much like his Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) winner Alpinista a few years ago. Tiffany’s ability over 1 1/2 miles is more proven than Diamond Necklace’s, and her relative freshness and the expected firmer ground might help her close the gap on Bay City Roller, who beat her convincingly in Munich a year ago.

Picks for the Breeders’ Cup Distaff

Vulnerable Favorite: Nitrogen - There is not much depth to this Distaff, but Fully Subscribed figures to be more competitive against Nitrogen than in their Ogden Phipps (G1) encounter, and Splendora also has a lot of quality about her. As potentially one of the shortest prices on Breeders’ Cup weekend, I’m inclined to take Nitrogen on.

$20 exacta: 4 with 2,8
$1 superfecta: 4 with 2,8 with 2,6,8 with ALL
