Churchill Downs releases stakes probables for Kentucky Derby week

Churchill Downs opens Saturday, April 30 and 13 stakes races will be offered over the first week to accompany the 142^nd runnings of the Kentucky Oaks (G1) and Kentucky Derby (G1) on May 6 and May 7.

Here are the prospective fields:

$100,000 WILLIAM WALKER (Entries taken Wednesday, race Saturday, April 30) – Probable: Cataroux, Patton Proud, Toews On Ice, Possible: Twizz.

$100,000 KENTUCKY JUVENILE (Entries taken Saturday, race Thursday, May 5) – Probable: Classic Empire, Hey Mike, Lawton, Polar City, Rapa Iti.

$400,000 ALYSHEBA (G2) (Entries taken Tuesday, May 3, race Friday, May 6) – Probable: Coin Broker, Departing, La Macchina, Looks to Spare, Majestic Affair, Natchez, Noble Bird, Regally Ready. Possible:  Blue Tone, Eagle.
