A total of nine three-year-olds will speed five-eighths on the Gulfstream Park lawn in Saturday’s $125,000 Texas Glitter S. The excellent event is loaded with early speed and could be a good spot for the late-running #4 Expressway to make some noise from off the pace at a price. Trained by Bill Mott, the sophomore son of Hard Spun was a debut winner on the grass at Aqueduct in September and followed that performance up with a solid fourth in the subsequent Futurity (G3) at the same venue.
Texas Glitter Exotics Wagers
- 50-cent trifecta 2,4,9 with 2,4,9 with all ($21)

The Stone Farm homebred didn’t fire in a route run at Keeneland to close out his juvenile season, but the bay did give a nice account of himself when rallying to be a clear second in an allowance dash on the synthetic oval at Gulfstream Park in his seasonal bow. He has posted a pair of morning drills in the interim and will be passing a lot of tired runners in the lane with expected improvement second off the shelf. Mario Gutierrez will be in the irons.
#2 Monster, one of two especially fast ones from the barn of Jose D’Angelo, might be the speed of the speed and has to be included in the wagers. By Leinster, he broke his maiden by an impressive nine lengths on this course in May and placed in two stakes races in his other pair of assignments on the turf, as well. The Florida-bred bay capped his two-year-old season with a daylight win on the all-weather at this venue, and he has posted a trio of rapid morning moves in succession in advance of his comeback. Jorge Ruiz will be in the silks and sending the colt from the opening bell.
The Mark Casse-trained #9 Casson has been first or second in each of the four one-turn tries in his career and gets a nice draw on the outside of the cast. The $200,000 son of Caravaggio is a stakes winner who knocked heads with some very good runners in 2025, and the colt appears to be training in good fashion in advance of his 2026 debut, as well. The gray proved that he can rally from off the pace in his two-year-old finale and will be well placed turning for home with Dylan Davis in the stirrups.
