Greyhound Preview Palm Beach 11/22/2014

November 22nd, 2014

*JS SpeedyPebbles*

Superstar Saturday is here and Palm Beach has quite a card on tap this afternoon. The world will be watching as one of the track’s most popular athletes JS SpeedyPebbles returns to racing in Race 14. PJ Smoke Em Out will also go for 6 straight wins in Race 6. One of the best track announcers ever “Dogtrack” Mike Jameson will be calling home the winners all day long for our enjoyment.

Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”

              *PJ Smoke Em Out*

Race 6 Grade A 545 Yards

You want to see a true box popper? Watch #8 PJ Smoke Em Out from the Agganis Kennel in this one. Never misses a break and will be looking for an impressive 6 straight W’s this afternoon. “Smokey” will also be looking to grab sole possession of second place for wins on the season if he can score another one here.

Watch out for closer #2 Pat C Brightly from owner Patrick Collins. Has the best close of this bunch and if he can stay with Smoke Em Out on the break, we may have long shot mania striking early this afternoon. #6 Turbo Sharise from Rader Racing has run well of late and may be a factor as well if she pops the lid.

Smoke Em Out has looked too dominant this month to walk away from here. It may be chalky but it's the right pick in this one.

Picks 8-6-2-4

Race 12 Grade B 545 Yards

We have a duo of hot puppy prospects to keep your eye on in this one.

#2 Tasha Jo from the Douglas Racing Team has the second fastest split of the season on this course (29.34 secs) and will be looking to get back to the top class if she can score here. Dynamite close when she is on.

#5 Just For Kicks from the Janie Carroll Kennel I’m going with for the win though. Just came off an 11 length W last time out and is sitting in a field that has an extremely low win percentage. Look for the sensational rookie to get out in front here and take the win.

Picks 5-2-6-8

Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards

The race of the day without a doubt.

To say my editor at TwinSpires Molly Jo Rosen was excited that #1 JS SpeedyPebbles from owner Shannon Henry was back at Palm Beach would be a huge understatement. When I posted that Pebbles would be back racing again on Twitter, she let me know that there was a massive happy dance happening in San Francisco because of the good news.

The “Queen of Palm Beach” is back and ready to once again be a star here. The 38 time winner gets her favorite inside box to fire out from today and will no doubt take the lead in this one. Tough assignment in her return awaits her though.

Huge threat will come from one of the hottest rookies here #7 Go Home from Rader Racing. 5 straight wins and is coming off an impressive 29.46 secs country mile W last time out.

Nice long shot could be #5 Go Bon Bitterend, who is the only true closer of this bunch and could steal this if the early speed of the other racers doesn’t hold up.

Pebbles in the 1 box...can’t beat it.

Picks 1-7-4-8

Top Pick Race 6 - #8 PJ Smoke Em Out
