Greyhound Preview: Palm Beach for 3/25/2014

Great card on tap for Tuesday at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. 15 fantastic races for players and fans to follow all day long. Here are my top races I will be following at the track:
Race 1 Grade M 545 Yards The #1 OlTimeRockenRoll is a future super sprinter, but right now is trying out the longer distance, which doesn’t suit him because of his fade. He has led the last 5 races down the stretch and gave up the lead every time. #8 SP Whedda from Agganis Kennel has a great rush from the outside and also closes well at the end of races. Should pick the #1 off at the wire:

Race 3 Grade C 545 Yards #8 Fries and Shake looks setup to go here. Doesn’t especially like the outside box, but is in a class that she never stays in for very long. Times have also dropped the last 5 races. Look for this racer to get out in front and hang on at the end:

Race 4 Grade TC 301 Yards The only super sprint race on the card. The 1 box at Palm Beach has a statistical advantage over the rest and this race should be no exception. The veteran #1 Pat C SeeHere just grade dropped last race and is running in a race that has 7 other dogs that have only won a combined 9 races ever at this track. The 1 should roll here:

Race 6 Grade B 545 Yards The class of this race is #5 Kiowa Kay Fannie, who I am surprised is still in this “B” class. 27 wins all time here and looks to be in top form going 29.89 seconds in her last race. Gets back into the top grade where she belongs after this one:

Race 15 Class B 660 Yards The Grade “A” hound dropping down #1 Kiowa Raphael is the class of this field and gets the hot 1 box to fire out of here. 11 wins so far on the season for Steve Gilster’s Kennel Team. Is sitting next to a slow breaker in the 2 box, which should open up things nicely. Raphael was running well in the top class before but was stuck in the outside box the last two races:
