Greyhound Preview: Palm Beach for 4/23/2014
by Palm Beach Jason

15 more fantastic races return for the Wednesday card at Palm Beach. Some of the best racers this track has to show and a few potential stars highlight this program. Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”
Race 4 Grade TC 301 Yards
The drag race with a twist has some good plays to choose from in this one. #5 San Tan Snuggles has a major past history of winning in this class. Throw out the last stinker race, this 24 time winner has a great chance for the win, or at least in your Quinela play. The other racer to watch is #3 Nikita’s First, who is also grade dropping and has 10 wins on the year from Steve Gilster’s team.
Picks: 5 - 3 - 1 - 7
Race 12 Grade B 545 Yards
The top puppy racer to watch of the day is #8 Tebucky Jones. The new Patriots namesake from owner Steve Sarras is attempting to make Grade A after just 10 races in his career. Usually first time B graders don’t win on their first try here, but Tebucky in the hot 8 box with that early speed just could do it. #4 Google Search is the grade dropper that may pop in the lower class going for 12 wins on the season. The kid gets it done here and joins the top class.
Picks: 8 - 4 - 2 - 7
Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards
Race of the day without a doubt.
I’ll have to admit that one of my favorite racers to watch here is #4 Relativity and why not? Is 3rd on the season wins list with 26 W’s and is a true box to wire specialist. Coming back into the top Grade again after last weeks 5 length victory in the JV class. Should be sitting in a good spot here. “Einstein” has only been caught from behind once in his whole career and may have to hold off dynamic closer #2 CRT Yusef from The Champions Racing Team. Has 22 wins of his own on the season and has heated up in the last two months. #3 Jawa Bruiser is also a top greyhound at Palm Beach but is just coming off a 3 month break and probably isn’t back to top form just yet. Relativity hangs on for victory here.
Picks: 4 - 2 - 1 - 8
Race 15 Grade A 660 Yards
The best box for the long distance race here has been the 1 box for quite some time now. #1 L Wonderwoman from B & B Racing draws the favorable box in the finale. Not only that, she is also undefeated in her career out of the 1 (3-0). I like #3 JS Dogie Doo’s name and I’m a fan of his game as well. Just won in this box two races back and could give Wonderwoman a run for her money at the wire. The setup is too favorable for Wonderwoman here to pass up.
Picks: 1 - 3 - 4 - 5
Top Pick: Race 15 - #1 L Wonderwoman
