Greyhound Preview: Palm Beach for 5/13/2014

The racing gets rolling this Tuesday afternoon at Palm Beach with 15 fantastic races for your viewing and playing enjoyment. Some top Grade A superstars are on this card, along with some up and coming greyhounds trying out different racing distances. Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”
Race 4 Grade TC 301 Yards
There is zero excuse for #4 CH Star Trek to not smoke this field. Has 6 wins on the season, just recently grade dropped and has the top super sprint time (16.78 sec) of this field. The rest of this field sports no racer with more than 2 wins this season. Is also the only true “C” Grader of this field. #8 PJ Kay Cry Fill is the only one I see possibly pulling the upset. Star Trek gets back to the higher class.

Race 6 Grade B 545 Yards
#1 Superior Polly from B & B Racing is setup to go here. The B Grade buzz saw just missed out last time out in this box, but got run down by one of the best closers here in San Tan Spangled. No such closer in this race to contend with. #8 Gez Money Talk is another grade dropper who loves the outside and should hit the back of the ticket. Polly is the play all the way here.

Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards
The race of the day without a doubt. One of my favorite racers here at Palm Beach #6 Relativity from owner Chris Straka is second on the season in wins at Palm Beach with 27 and is coming off an impressive W last time out. Will need to run down early burner #8 KB’s Royal Roy, who flips the lid better than most racers here but will fade at go time around the bend. #7 Palm City Calico from B & B Racing is an impressive puppy who could challenge the veteran Relativity for the win, but Relativity I’m going with to get this.

Race 15 Grade B 660 Yards
#4 Ben Affleck from Rader Racing makes his 660 yard debut in the Matinee finale today. The former A grader ran a solid schooling race before today and probably leads this one to start with that good early step out of the box. #8 WippaSnappa who prefers the outside, reeled off an impressive 38.19 sec run last time in this box and should be a threat to take Affleck on the stretch. I’m going with Hollywood (Affleck) here to get out and hold on at the end.
