Greyhound Preview: Palm Beach for 7/10/2014

July 10th, 2014

by Palm Beach Jason

Time to get the Thursday racing action going at Palm Beach!  15 fantastic races to watch and play all afternoon long at one of the top greyhound tracks in the country. Superstar Bae Sang highlights this card in Race 4. World famous track announcer Mike Jameson will be calling home the winners today for all of us to enjoy.

Here are the top races I will be following for the Matinee at “The Beach.”

Race 3 Grade D 545 Yards

Only one thing could possibly get me excited about a Grade D race…hot puppy prospect.

#7 Flawlis from the North Shore Kennel is loving her new home at Palm Beach. The transfer from Southland Park has already blazed two victories here and is sitting right where she wants to be mid track.  You don’t see many 29.77 secs wins in the J class, but that’s exactly what this rookie did last time out.

Top threat to Flawlis comes from the 4 hole in Cals Ready Fredy.  A 70% board hitter in his young career, he is grade dropping and has shown some good early speed in this class.  Include him on any Tri/Super plays today.

Flawlis continues to impress and gets another W here.

Picks 7-4-1-8

Race 4 Grade TA 301 Yards

The drag race with a twist has one of the elite superstars going today. #7 Bae Sang from top Kennel Rader Racing is one of the best super sprinters of all time here and is in a field that he should dominate.

Admittedly, I wish that Sang would race against top rival KB’s Like A Fox every time out, but it does make the rivalry even more special when they actually do meet.

Getting back to this race, a few racers could pose a challenge.  Veteran #8 Liberty Trail from The Champions Racing Team was one of the best here last summer and still has the ability to steal one.  A 70% board hitter last season, she should be in the mix again today going around the one and only curve.

Wildcard is #2 Go Bon Dillon,  who gets one of the prime inside boxes to fire out of.

Bae Sang keeps on rolling and gets his first victory of the young season.

Picks 7-2-8-6

Race 14 Grade A 545 Yards

The race of the day without a doubt.

#3 Taylo Ice from Rader Racing has been anything but chilly lately.  Will look to stay undefeated in the new season going for 3 straight. Showing some outstanding boogie from the box and is making a pitch to be in my Top 10 rankings for the first time in her career.

Biggest threat for the win comes from #7 Joey Instant, whose brother superstar Joey Ice is the top greyhound running at Derby Lane currently.  Instant was a 33% winner last season and is coming off an extended break.

A couple of hot rookies to watch in this one are #1 Boc’s L Janis & #4 Rica.

Taylo Ice flys for another victory in this one.

Picks 3-7-1-5

Top Pick Race 4- #7 Bae Sang
