Another day, another Head2Head battle with my friend Andrew Champagne. If memory serves, we're tied at two apiece... so let's attempt to break the tie with the late Pick 4 at Saratoga...

Here are my thoughts while I await his...

Saratoga race 9 | 3: 59 pm ET G2 Ballston Spa for 3&up F&M going 1-1/16 mi. (T)

1-Nellie Cashman: she was denied on this turf course last year in the G2 Lake Placid ~ she's better now than she was then - don't forget her 2-Centre Court: if she gets it together again, she's a monster 7-Filimbi: looking for 3rd straight & training great

Saratoga race 10 | 4:33 pm ET G1 King's Bishop for 3yo going 7f

One of my favorite races all year & always one where I try to avoid the ALL button...

2-Wildcat Red: bred to be a freakish sprinter & nice to see him back at it 3-Myositis Dan: always right there at the wire 4-Noble Cornerstone: training lights out seeking 3rd straight win 8-Coup de Grace: ability's there if he gets the trip

Saratoga race 11 | 5:08 pm ET G1 Ballerina for 3&up F&M going 7f

4-My Miss Aurelia: I may've started her bandwagon & I ain't leavin' my homegirl now 6-La Verdad: too consistent to ignore 7-Voodoo Tales: training lights out & looking for 3rd straight 8-Hot Stones: flattered by G1 Personal Ensign finish & cuts back to what could be her favorite distance

Saratoga race 12 | 5:45 pm ET G1 Travers for 3yo going 1-1/4 mi.

1-Commanding Curve: Hasn't won since breaking his maiden last November, but he was the Derby runner-up. 2-Bayern: Speedster has won his last two by a combined 14-3/4 lengths. 3-Charge Now: Derby winner Super Saver's half-brother is a head from being a stakes winner. 4-V. E. Day: Versatile former turf runner hasn't done much wrong in his career & gets Castellano aboard. 5-Viva Majorica: Owns a big win sprinting over a muddy track, but is prone to troubled trips. 6-Tonalist: Belmont winner also cruised to victory in the Peter Pan over a sloppy surface. 7-Wicked Strong: He's run one bad race in nine career starts & he took the Jim Dandy nicely over most of this field. 8-Kid Cruz: His jockey is winning just about everything this meet & maybe excuse the Jim Dandy loss for the race coming 3 weeks after the Dwyer win. 9-Ulanbator: If he gets a clean trip, he's definitely one to talk about for the exotics. 10-Mr Speaker: In off game Belmont Derby win, but has to successfully transfer solid turf form to the dirt.

Molly Jo's ticket on the $.50 minimum ... 1,2,7 / 2,3,4,8 / 4,6,7,8 / 2,4,6 ... $72 total
