Race 4
#7 Moravia (4-1) lacked the needed response when fourth at Ellis in her latest in July but was making her first start in over 14 months. 4-year-old finished a close second behind subsequent Moyglare Stud (G1) winner Skitter Scatter as a juvenile in Ireland and makes her second outing for trainer Maker, who has won with 20% of his runners this year. Filly can be along from off the pace under Gaffalione, who has won with 21% of his rides for the barn in the past two months.
Race 10
Tom Drury wins with 21% of his runners that broke their maiden last time out and saddles #8 Lady Edith (6-1), who set fast fractions when leading from the start to win her debut at Ellis in mid-July. Daughter of excellent turf sprint sire Street Boss has worked well since her first outing for Drury, who has won with 18% of his runners since the beginning of the year. Chestnut can be in the mix from the start with Colby Hernandez riding.
Race 11
A solid field for the Music City includes #8 Finite (8-1), who broke her maiden over the course and distance in one previous try on turf. Daughter of Munnings disappointed when fourth as the heavy favorite in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) in her latest in March but has been working well for Asmussen, who wins with 14% of his runners that have not raced for 90+ days. Filly can be stalking the early pace with Jose Ortiz taking the mount.
Indiana Grand
Race 9
#1 Bankruptonthebeach (7-2) was not involved after a slow start in the Martha Washington S. at this distance at Gulfstream in her first start on grass in her latest last month in her second start after a 4-month break. Filly has a good pedigree for turf and trainer Maker wins with 19% of his runners third time off a layoff. Gray can be along from off the pace under Parker, who has won with 31% of his rides for the barn in the past two months.
Presque Isle
Race 5
Blinkers are added to #1 Independence Law (5-1), who showed little in her debut over 6 furlongs last month. Daughter of excellent young sire Constitution can be running late under Martinez, who has won with three of his last eight rides for the barn.
