The Sunday feature at Saratoga is the $150,000 Bolton Landing S., a 5 1/2-furlong dash on the turf for juvenile fillies. A total of eight lassies will vie in the dash, and I’m going to give a chance to a first-time starter in the group. Lael Stables’ homebred #7 Should’ve (8-1) has been training swiftly in advance of her unveiling, with two nice drills on the lawn as of late. The daughter of Not This Time is a half-sister to two-time turf stakes sprint winner Daring Do, and she will go postward for exceptional juvenile conditioner Wesley Ward.

Should’ve will face some sharp horses drawn to her inside, but the April foal could get an advantageous voyage being on the outside of them. Joel Rosario has the assignment, and I expect the miss to show early foot from the gate.
#4 Cy Fair (8-5), also by Not This Time, dominated a maiden special weight field on the course on July 10 and could be the real deal for a trainer who excels with this type of runner as of late. The $185,000 juvenile buy was quick early and finished well clear under the wire in this heat, and she has come back with two turf works in the interim. John Velazquez retains the ride.
#3 Snow Face Princess (6-1) relished both the addition of blinkers and the move to the grass second time out when registering a powerful win on the oval. The Midshipman filly was well backed in the affair and lands in a spot with a world of early speed signed on. She will be coming from off the pace in this one, with Flavien Prat inheriting the mount.
Mark Casse’s #2 My Sweetheart (7-2) led at every call in a turf debut beneath the Twin Spires and moved to the dirt last time when a big second in the Schuylerville S. (G3) as the 7-10 favorite. The talented Flameaway filly will be prompting the action from the break with Jose Ortiz in the stirrups for the initial time.
