How to bet the 2026 Autumn Miss Stakes

A strong field of 11 three-year-old fillies will go one mile on the Santa Anita lawn in Sunday’s $100,000 Autumn Miss (G3). I like two runners that will be rallying from well back in the affair, and I will center my wagers around the duo.

Autumn Miss Wagers

  • $20 win #8 Green Carrera ($20)
  • 50-cent superfecta 8,11 with 8,11 with 7,10 with all ($16)
  • 50-cent superfecta 8,11 with 8,11 with all with 7,10 ($16)

Leonard Powell’s #8 Green Carrera put in a strong late run after breaking slowly in the Del Mar Oaks (G1) to cross the wire in fourth, and the European import faces a much more manageable field on this occasion. The daughter of standout sire Lope de Vega has been in fine form in 2026 and seems set for a big run in her second stateside appearance following a quartet of solid morning moves lately. She lands in a field with some pace signed on, which will aid her chances in the stretch beneath repeat rider Umberto Rispoli.

Two-time Grade 2 heroine #11 Somerset West has rewarded her backers with hefty mutuels in two straight upset wins for trainer John Sadler, and while she will be a much shorter number in this spot, the Kantharos homebred can still make it four overall wins in succession, nonetheless. The chestnut roared home to defeat a really nice group in the Music City (G2) at Kentucky Downs at 6 1/2 furlongs last time, and the move back to one-mile will not pose a problem for the ever-improving filly. Armando Ayuso will take the reins.

#7 Goodies, one of two in the group for conditioner Phil D’Amato, tired in the latter stages in an allowance tilt versus her elders on the course most recently, but will move forward on Sunday in her second off the short layoff. The Collected homebred has the tactical speed to stay in striking distance throughout the affair, and I envision her being right there in midstretch while getting the jump on the deeper closing types. Drayden Van Dyke picks up the mount.

Pilot Hector Berrios opts to stay aboard recent allowance victress #10 Full Moon Tonight, and she will make her way onto some of my vertical wagers. The Oasis Dream filly went last-to-first en route to victory at Del Mar last time and comes in fresh for a capable layoff outfit in her first appearance at this venue. She will take back early and make one run late as an interesting contender.
