An outstanding field of 11 fillies and mares will travel 1 1/2 miles on the Saratoga inner turf course in Sunday’s $250,000 Glens Falls (G2). In a cast featuring numerous win contenders, I ultimately landed on the William Walden-trained #8 Speed Shopper (4-1). By Quality Road, the five-year-old loves marathoning on the lawn, and she has prior experience on the oval with a win from three tries at The Spa in advance of Thursday, as well.

Glens Falls Wagers

The $430,000 yearling purchase is still relatively lightly raced, with room for improvement in the affair, and comes off a try in the New York (G1) here at 1 3/16 miles, where she tired late after being in range early, and I expect her to receive a much better voyage in this one. The mare is a two-time Grade 3 heroine from three attempts at the distance and will have the red-hot Irad Ortiz, Jr. on board.

Moyglare homebred #3 Belleza (8-1) is more than capable on her best day at the trip and over firm ground, and the contender has good value for Miguel Clement. The five-year-old daughter of Siyouni ran a positive race at Delaware Park second time off the shelf most recently and could peak in her third run of 2026 at a good number. Jaime Rodriguez retains the ride, and the mare will be seen stalking the pace with cover early on.

Michael Tabor’s #6 Survie (7-2) will make her U. S. debut and looks like a fine fit in her stateside bow. The Churchill five-year-old has not been super sharp this season, but the mare has back class with some big runs in the Group 1 ranks in her lifetime and seems more than capable of handling 12 panels on this course, as well. Flavien Prat has the call.

2025 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) queen #4 Gezora (5-2) has not been on point from two starts this campaign but can’t be totally dismissed while making her second run for trainer Bill Mott. The high-quality daughter of Almanzor stopped early in the New York on June 5, but she has posted four solid morning moves in the interim, and she will obviously be in the running late with something resembling her top performance. Junior Alvarado will take the reins.
