How to bet the Barbara Fritchie and General George Stakes

Laurel Park scenic @ Maryland Jockey Club
A total of six stakes races will highlight a fantastic Saturday card at Laurel Park. The pair of graded events on the slate will be my main wagering focus on Saturday. I like price runners in each of them, too.
Race 7 -- Barbara Fritchie S. (G3)
Eight fillies and mares will travel seven panels on the dirt in a fine field. I am not sure #4 Estilo Talentoso (10-1) can beat this cast, but the bay filly is my exotics price play for Arrigada. Maclean’s Music four-year-old has never finished worse than third in her lifetime, and I like her running style in a field where she will get first run on the pace setters turning for home.
I will use her with Grade 3 queen #1 Sharp Starr (3-1); #2 Club Car (6-1); #3 Dontletsweetfoolya (7-2), who has not been headed in five straight tallies; and #8 Hello Beautiful (8-5), who is a sublime seven-for-seven at Laurel.
Wagers
- $2 Trifecta Key: 4 with 1,2,3,8 ($24)
- $2 Trifecta: 1,2,3,8 with 4 with 1,2,3,8 ($24)
Race 8 -- General George S. (G3)
A total of 10 will go postward in the seven furlong co-feature. I am going to give a big chance to a pair of contenders that offer fine value in the field, and if I get the morning-line number on each, I won’t hesitate to use both in the top slot.
#3 Lebda (8-1) is appealing making his third start off the layoff as the inside speed of the field. Four-year-old gelding is three-for-six on the strip, and he could peak on Saturday under Cintron.
#10 Tattooed (15-1) made a bold late run to upset the Jennings S. on the oval most recently, his seventh straight top-three finish for Keefe. Etched gelding was an excellent third in the Maryland Millions Classic in October, and he will be rolling home best of all in the stretch at a big number.
Wager
- $1 Exacta: 3,10 with all ($18)
- $1 Trifecta: 3,10 with 2,3,6,10 with 2,3,6,10 ($12)
Bonus Play
Race 9 -- Maiden Special Weight
#3 Flat Cat (4-1) showed big early foot but was caught chasing lone speed when fourth on debut. Corrales second timer shows a solid half-mile drill in the interim, and I like the Flat Out gelding to close out the card as a single under Karamanos.
Bonus Wager -- Race 7
- $1 Pick 3: 1,2,3,4,8 with 3,10 with 3 ($10)
